Ally 400 at Nashville Super Speedway -Pre-Race Thread

And NBC once again has no content being shown in Canada.

Time to memorize a new channel number, have no clue what channel USA Network is on, I know its in the 240's , it was nice, FS1 and NBCSN were right next to each other for me 219/220.
One thing I love about YouTube TV. It knows I watch racing and always puts NASCAR, INDYCAR and F1 at the top of my feed, followed by MSNBC and ESPN.

Pre race and post race all on Peacock this weekend but thank god we get to see a documentary about Austin Dillon on USA.

Bring on ESPN already.
Only for Cup which is funny, Xfinity pre/post both on USA, I think the reason for no pre race is there is simply no room , NBC has Track &Field on before the race, and USA has IMSA , there is no excuse for the post race, USA Is in reruns when the race ends. I hope this isnt gonig to be how the rest of the season is going to be with the pre/post shows.

They're trying to force their failed streaming service on us.

They have Yellowstone and WWE and still can't get subscribers.

besides that, its a horrible layout and kind of buggy. The WWE Network was set up way better than Peacock.

Oh, I'm aware.

They pushed a ton of their Summer Olympics content to Peacock last year and it was a disaster. Well publicized disaster. App was buggy, layout was confusing and ****tipated, and much of the content wasn't even on there. All they had was basically an international highlights feed that was running on Olympic Channel simultaneously.

That was the second time I gave Peacock a try. **** that app.

Welll, they got me strictly because of motorsports. I don't care about WWE and don't know what Yellowstone is, so they wouldn'thave me without it. I haven't had any issues with the app on my tablet; I load the web page on my computer. All six hours of the Glen tomorrow is worth $5 to me.

Huh? Peacock in my opinion is far and away the best streaming app

It's garbage in my opinion as Andy says. They boost their numbers because the basic tier is free and if you have Xfinity you can get Premium for free (only reason I have it). Youtube 10 years ago was more functional than Peacock now. It's glitchy and the content is AWFUL... unless you like racing. I like documentaries and there's about 5 out of 100 actual, production-grade documentaries on Peacock Premium. The movie selection is comical. They show the Rotten Tomatoes rating for each and maybe 1/5 has a rating over 70%.

Okay, I get it now. It's not the 3-foot part that's important, it's the straight. It's not for clearance, it's for shape. Sorry.
Right. Shape in the airflow creates downforce/lift.

We have Orville and Wilbur to thank for this knowledge. 😎

FYI- for tomorrow there's roughly a 70% chance of rain at 5pm for Nashville but it drops to 30-50% after 6pm through the rest of the night depending on the source.

It's one of those systems where it will almost certainly rain at some point between 2pm and 10pm in Nashville tomorrow... but it certainly will not rain even half that time. Just a matter of when/where storms pop up and how quickly they pass through. I totally expect a race tomorrow evening.

So am I supposed to bitch that they should have scheduled this for earlier, or for later, or some other weekend entirely?

I hope so. Naz's daughter flew in from Calif. She has been getting to a lot of races this year.. The Clash, Texas All Star, Phoenix, Las Vegas, Sonoma. Now Nashville. Naz is like me, can't take it anymore.

I wish Peacock would add the entire Dateline library and the old MSNBC documentaries. There are literally hundreds of those.

CMT and CBS had a ton of original movies they used to air and none of those are on Paramount.

This is part of why Disney/Hulu and HBO are the best IMO. Disney has almost everything on there. There are only a handful of original movies missing. Same with HBO, there are only a handful of HBO originals missing. Those two services have so much content, and they don’t charge extra for 4K (though HBO now has a cheaper ad supported plan that might not be 4K idk).

Peacock was terrible in my two experiences with it. Even on Apple TV which isn’t buggy at all unlike Roku and Fire, Peacock was terrible.

I get not wanting to pay the hefty price for beers at the track, but no major sports allow you to bring coolers and beer to a game, it's just the way it is. If you want cheap beers watch the race at home.
Kinda looks like that's what the fans are doing.
