So your saying i'm trying to blow a Jr story up in the wake of what happened today? Pretty much trying to say I don't care?
Dude, you seriously need to chill. No one said anything like that at all. Its the CONSTANT complaing, bitching, moaning about Jr. Its after almost every race. Everyone here knows I gripe about the sky being blue sometimes, but I know when to give it a rest.
"Agreed.....its not worth trying to reason with someone who whines when more important matters are at hand."

I do believe you are the one who said that, bud. I'm not bitching, whining, complaining, whatever you want to call it, I'm just speaking the truth. Jr had problems, yeah it's obvious, but some of them could have been avoided. That's all I was trying to say! And I don't constantly complain about Jr. This is the first time in God knows how long that i've said anything negative about him. I don't hate the guy, I don't hate any driver just because of their name, the car they drive, or who their owner is... I'm pretty open-minded about it.

But for the sake of the board, I'll drop whatever I was complaining about. Don't know what it is, but consider it dropped.

So, what you're saying is that is the ONLY major on-track story? No one said that you didn't care about anything. It's obvious that you care more about what Jr. did on the track today, than where you driver Harvick finished.

I'm done. It this gets out of hand, you know what happens.
I'm proud of where Harvick finished, no doubt about it. I just never got the chance to post anything about it yet. I've been wrapped up in all the details of the Hendrick plane crash, sorry.

Didn't seem like you were wrapped up in the details of the Hendrick Plane crash to me, you've been here complaining since the race ended. Just My Opinion...

Wasn't wrapped up, huh? Look who posted the damn thing, then read thru the thread.

Wow. You mean that people here think that their Mods/Admin are part of a great conspiracy too?
Yep! It's true Professur!

Ok, as a fan of neither Junior or Kevin, I find a bit of irony in this entire thread. It never fails to amaze me exactly how emotionally charged any subject dealing with an Earnhardt becomes.

Honestly, from the 'outside looking in', that is as a Ford fan, it is a little confusing.

A HARVICK( that is, the guy driving the car that Dale once drove) fan gives his opinion while angry and all heck breaks loose. Damn. The whole Earnhardt mythos sometimes seems out of hand to me. And I in no way mean that in a bad way---hell, if I did, I would admit it. It's no secret I am not a fan of either of the Earnhardt's.

But let me ask each of ya'll that expressed frustration over this thread---is your frustration aimed at the thread because of the subject matter? Or because of the SUBJECT?

Sometimes one man's 'whine' is another man's opinion. At least until next week, when the situation might be different.

Ironic seeing as how I have got threads locked by the mods for fighting with Harvick fans, and now the Jr fans are coming down harder than I ever did.

Whats up with all of this? You guys are supposed to be tight, right?

(*With apologies to the couple of voices that opposed the 'tone' rather than the subject. And the tone was a bit harsh IMO, but as Maj said, obviously an impulsive post, typed while angry. And Lord, who hasn't made one of those. :p )

"Whats up with all of this? You guys are supposed to be tight, right?"

Nope! May as well be Kurt Busch in the #29 car. No alliances here.

First, I dont get it. If we cant have opposing opinions, or point out faults of other drivers, or engage in constructive critisism, then what is the point of this message board? ............... Thats what it seems like sometimes.

Personally I dont think anything Slick-Nick said was out of line. He was stating his opinion (which may be unpopular, since there are so many die hard Jr fans) and he never took a cheap shot at any member here. If you cant take critisism that is directed to a driver you like, then maybe you should grow up. Or, if you see a thread that might contain something that upsets you, DONT READ IT ANY FURTHER.

One thing I always here from Tony Stewart fans (and even from those that dont like him) is that they are glad that he speaks his mind and that they wish more drivers would be like him. so, why is it around here we are expected to be like the other drivers "yeah thats just racing" "they all race hard" glad to see him do good". Maybe we need more "i dont like this, and for these reasons....".

Besides, it always seems like the threads with the critisism draw the most attention.

Personally I love checking this message board everyday, and i hope i dont get booted for speaking my mind. but, i thought it needed to be said. and i will continue to speak my mind in the future.

edit: removed offensive sexual innuendo.

That's a pretty scary thought Steve! :EEEEK:

Don't know why the thread is just about Jr because alot of folks were getting spun out, typical Martinsville stuff if you ask me. I'm not a Jr fan but this seems mostly like Jr. bashing to me. Of course I have lost my cool on here before too so I'm not tossing stones but If you don't like the guy and as long as no one got hurt, revel in the fact that he had a bad week.

Dale Earnhardt Jr is nothing but a little ____ when it comes to racing. Yes, you saw it right... Dale Earnhardt Jr! Everytime the punk starts to slip backwards, he'll do anything to get a caution. The dumbass spins himself out at Bristol to get a caution, and now he spins out Carl Edwards for no reason. I hope somebody punts his ass one good time before this race is over.

Sounds a little out of line to me.

My only question is...(and I haven't had the time to go through all the posts)...who made it 'official' that Dale Earnhardt Jr is nothing but a little ____ when it comes to racing??? I haven't seen a press release from Nascar or DEI, so until then it's unofficial. :D

For what it's worth, R Gordon was backwards more than he was frontwards and I don't recall Jr being anywhere near him.

People see what they want to see, I suppose.

I don't, and I have been. Only problem is, m'boy Sadler finished just one position better. :(

Lord knows I've been known to ruffle a feather, sometimes intentionally. So long as forum members are not making things personal against other forum members, deteriorating into a cussing match, or things of that nature I see no great travesty in someone spouting off about racing incidents that rub them wrong. Sure, it's subjective, but like someone else said, that's one of the reasons boards like this exist. Take the spice out of any dish and it's kinda bland. Some of us know a real good example of that at another racing message board...

I've stayed out of this particular mudsling as I don't particularly like Junior OR harvick, so it's all good to me. :p Just chiming in without being asked as per usual. Carry on.

besides some light cussing, he was just stating his opinion. i dont think he desirves anything worse than a 25 pt penalty.

exactly, if you'll read the usage guidelines we don't put up with it. There is a right way and a wrong way to express your opinions here, this was the wrong way.

The point being made here, nick is that your use of calling Jr. names (i.e. punk, dumbass, and the other word that I removed) is the "wrong" way. Jr. was wrong in several instances on the track yesterday, but so were a few others. Carl Edwards wasn't the ONLY one who got spun out, but Jr. is the ONLY one that you chose to single out as being wrong. I do believe that Ricky Rudd spun/got spun and Robby Gordon spun, and quite a few others were going the wrong way. But you chose to single out Jr. as the only one who did wrong. Do you think it is possible that his brake problem prevented him from staying out of the back of Edwards? Just a question, not trying to take up for what he did.

If he a brake problem, he shouldn't of been out there in the first place. Especially at a track that uses heavy braking, JMO.
