I don't know what it is but the advertisements really have me looking forward to this new series. Hopefully it is every bit as good as my minds eye believes it will be. We know we can count @Pat out but what about the rest of you?

The premiere is next Monday night on AMC @ 9pm et. Some kind of sneak peak following Walking Dead this Sunday @ 10pm et.

More information on the new series can be found here.

Yeah. I think it's a horror story. I don't like horror. That's why it took me 4 seasons to catch on to TWD. I thought it was just zombie horror and turns out it wasn't.

What if it turns out the horror part of The Terror is simply some form of White Walkers? Not to be confused with Game of Thrones White Walkers but you know, zombie's of the north? Then, you may really like this show.

Just joking. It's all good. Tough for me to take things too seriously as a WD fan. I mean, I'm watching a story about zombie's on Sunday, why not Monster's on Monday?

I know nothing of those walkers. I don't watch GOT. TWD is more about #teamfamily than the zombies. That is what makes it good for me.

Did you like it?
I didn't watch last night's preview. I'm recording tonight's two hour's worth of shows. The previews looked interesting though. I'm not sure I'll be able to base all my thought's on a single episode. If I did that, I'd probably not be watching a lot of things that I ended up enjoying over the long haul.

Reactions: Pat
Anything with Ciaran Hinds and Tobias Menzies is going to be good.

I downloaded the first episode of it and will watch it right now. This sounds like Outlander which is one of my favorite series.

Just finished watching episode 1 and I have to say, I'm hooked.

Thank you for bringing this to my attention dpk. These are my type of shows.

It's intense right of the bat but it doesn't try to wow you with the spetacular right off the bat. It's a slow burn type of show. You won't get all the answers in 1 or 2 episodes which I love.

The cast of characters in this is incredibly strong. High production value.

Definitely feels like a show that belong on HBO or one of those uppity networks.

Two of the best actors on the planet and why I'm stoked to watch this show. I've been following them since they played Julius Caesar and Brutus on the HBO series "Rome".

Tonight I'll be watching the 2 hr show.Looks like the first episode got solid reviews including an 88% from Rotten Tomatoes.

What’s up with the tuunbaq?
The Tuunbaq

A soul-devouring monster from Inuit mythology, the Tuunbaq is an indestructible killing machine that has taken the form of a massive polar bear with an elongated neck. The product of a war between the Inuit gods, it has been banished to the frozen northern wastes. The Tuunbaq preys on all creatures within its icy domain but particularly likes to eat the souls of humans. Only the sixam ieua' - spirit governors of the sky - a select group of Inuit shaman, specially bred for their psychic abilities, hold any sway over the beast. The sixam ieua allow the Tuunbaq to eat their tongues as a sign of their dedication, but they can summon the creature and pay homage to it with their throat singing and gifts of animal flesh. They communicate with it (and other sixam ieua) using a form of telepathy.

So the whole season 1 was leaked online. lol

Pardon me if I help myself to the whole 10 episodes. :lol2:

We watched the 2-hour premier last night. Thoroughly enjoyed it.

It seems like it might be good, a bit strange though. I am getting in to all the cool stuff on the ship ...... including food for 2 years or more. The ships even have a steam engine

Please, no spoilers. I've been catching up on this show the morning after its airing.

I'm six episodes deep into this season so I won't spoil it for @kyle18fan but let me just say, it gets even better. Makes me want to pick up the book.

I'm bummed out that Ciarian Hinds only lasted 3 episodes. But I supposed it makes sense because apparently his real life counter part met his end early on in the voyage.

This is how you make a TV show! Cant wait to find out what they will do with season 2.

There is a scene at the end where you guys will definitely go back to the first episode to see how well it syncs up. You will be surprised.

This part may be consider spoilers so here is my take after having just watched the entire first season.
I'm blown away by the fact the show creators absolutely decimated each characters, main ones and secondary alike. By episode 9 just 1 main character was alive.

Turns out the Tuunbaq wasn't their main thread after all. Hickey turned out to be quite a sick person. And then the entire crew was done in by the can food which contained led in it.

The ending scene was magnificent. Peaceful and impactful.

I'm pretty sure there is no season 2. It' a 10 part miniseries. At least that's what I thought.

Yeah I read up on that. Might take on the anthology route which also works for me.

No announcement for a season 2 thus far though.

Damn! That seems to be happening more and more. I start watching these shows that I really get into only to find out they're one year deals.

In any event, I'm caught up with what had been broadcast so far. Good stuff.
