I hate it when I get those releases on Monday mornings, but they're no easier to take on Thursday afternoon either.
After a quick trip to New York state today, I returned home and found a short release stating that Ollie Sylva has passed away.
Ollie raced supermodifieds, primarily here in the Northeast, but he usually made a winter trip to Florida or California, and it was not unusual to see his black number 0 in Victory Lane, no matter where he ran or who he ran against; and Ollie ran with the best in the business at the time.
Man, I sure feel old and tired some days!
