Does anyone here know how to or can it be turned on for these forums?

Hopefully this will work or fulfill your question.
Note: you may need to click the quote function to read this in simple text, otherwise the performed embedded functions will limit the posted information.

1. You must actually have a vine video, I have copied a sample below

http://www.funnyvinevideos.com/vines/6592/Dog-Slaps-Back

2. In front of the link type
(be sure there are no blank spaces inside the bracket)

3. then type it the embedded title you want.
ex (mash right to read me)

4, Then close the url with a closing bracket.
example:

it should look like this

mash right here with your mouse or fanger to read me

Note:I think the actual functions will hide some of the instructions if so:

Just click quote and copy and paste my embedded link and model it. Remember to lead and close with the brackets, and insert link, and your embedded title the same way it should work.

Thanks, but what I am looking for is a way to embed the actual video. Like Youtube. Where you don't have to go to the actual website. Yours looks like a simple link to the video unless I'm seeing something wrong?

Think I figured it out.

Maybe?

Maybe try 3.

Very cool but while I see that you were able to accomplish this, and it's exactly what I had asked for, how did you come up with the 'MwHdMawpitg' as the representation of the URL? I guess what I'm asking is, how do you convert the URL to that string of characters that will work when embedding? I'll have my coffee and look at this again but I'm thinking that still may not help me.

@dpkimmel2001 that's the video ID.

Get the post page link and post it, and it should auto-parse. See attached screenshot.
