I was surprised by the damage that a brake duct caused to the snout of the 18 car yesterday as if asked I would have said something like that would have bounced off instead of causing a hole.
Yeah but being light weight I wouldn't think it would cause that much damage from impact? Maybe a metal mount or something was still attached to it? Whatever Ktle hit had some heft to it as it was skipping down the track after Joey hit it.Light weight means carbon fibre .. carbon fibre is tough stuff.

My guess..... hot dog wrapper.Perhaps the damage was caused by something other than the brake ducting debris.
There is probably a mathematical formula that explains how much force a light weight object can produce at 200 mph.
