Just curious if you are, what are you watching?

I've got a Roku that I've been watching a lot of 4K content on. Mainly I watch shows/movies on Amazon & Netflix. Some 4K sports content is available on Dish Network channel 540.

By far, the best quality that I've seen is being broadcast on Amazon. They also have the most 4K content from what I can tell. Some of what I see on Netflix really doesn't look any better than HD.

Dish Network's broadcasts of select NCAA BB has been pretty good. I think that they have a bandwidth problem or maybe I need to adjust my antenna a bit, IDK.

The last Summer Olympics had a 4K channel on both DirecTV and Dish Network. I haven't heard if they are going to be broadcasting and $K content this upcoming Winter Olympics.

Any of you watching 4K broadcast and if so, what and how good is the broadcast?

I've only seen a few selected broadcasts, when is this 4k broadcasting going to be widespread?

From the small amount that I've read, it doesn't appear like it will happen anytime soon. I'm not sure why 4k tv's were introduced so soon.

There's plenty of 4K content out there, just not too much live content yet. Only a matter of time, similar to the switch to HD. When that first started, there were only a select few broadcasts.

I don't use any aspect of the smart features on my TV. I mostly watch news, cooking shows, sports and a few DVR'd shows (Walking Dead, Fear The Walking Dead, Damnation, Blacklist...)

It took years. The first high definition sports program was broadcast in 1997 by WRAL (anyone who lives in North Carolina knows what that channel is). The first Super Bowl broadcast in HD was three years later. And NASCAR didn't get HD treatment until 2004.

I really don't care anything about HD or 4K or any of that stuff..... I feel like I'm very fortunate to just have several flat screens in the house that I have no idea of the pixels..... or definition or whatever else is involved.... The way I figure it..... what I have now is light years ahead of the old console black and white I grew up watching....... with an antenna that might pick up 2 or 3 stations if it was positioned just right. We were pretty much in high cotton when we got a used color that had the ''clicker'' remote to change channels..... I was right up there with George Jefferson....... Movin' up to the East Side........ Amazes me how spoiled we all are now...... If we don't have a 70 inch or theater with surround sound and a picture that is crystal clear...... we feel cheated in life......

I havent jumped on the 4k bandwagon yet, I would love to drop the coin for a new 4k TV and a PS4 Pro so I could game in 4k , the TV I would replace is just a couple of years old now I think.

We purchased one 4K television a little more than a year and a half ago. The other around last Christmas. One is a 40" Sharp. The other is a 55" Samsung. Our living room isn't that big. I wanted the 40" for that room. The Samsung is down in the game room. The HD quality of both is very good. The 4K content is awesome!

Right now, I'm only seeing some select NCAA Basketball games broadcast in 4K as far as sports go. The summer Olympic's broadcast 4K content in 2016. The quality was outstanding. I'm expecting to see some of this coming winter Olympic's also in 4K.

Both Netflix and Amazon have a decent lineup of 4K content.

Not sure I feel cheated about anything but I've always liked technology. HD was such a huge transition from analog signals. 4K takes the next leap. Not for everyone yet but soon enough, it'll be the norm.

The one thing about 4k is you just cant get any size screen you want, with 4k, you need to do some math and figure out the size of your room, and how far you sit from the TV before you decide on screen size, there is a certain distance and once you are past that, you wont be able to see the 4k-ness of it. Its rather interesting as it has a lot to do with the human eye. Or something like it, a quick Google search will make sense of it :D. I just found it interesting its was about how the we can so up to certain point of resolution.

You got decent sizes , I am sure you are enjoying watching 4k, it sounds like it;)

Yeh and then in a 3 years there will be something else, hard to keep up with technology, it is leaping so quickly. Just like 6 or 7 years ago smart phones were emerging, now if you don't have one people look at you like you have 2 heads. Who would of thought back in 2000 we could hold a laptop in the palm of our hand and have more gigs on it than our PC?
