Simple racing, for simple people. Your casual fans don't want to learn and know all the nuances that go into stock car racing, they just want to see cars go fast and occasionally see a good crash, that's why these Super Speedways have good attendances.

I agree. These tracks aren't going anywhere soon. The racing isn't going to get any better and the drivers are never going to like plate racing.The RP tracks are not my favorite, but they aint going nowhere.
The only thing that can stop them is a flying car making a soft landing and bringing on Lemans 1955/ 2.0.
I hope it never happens, spectator deaths would be tragic. On a smaller note it would be devastating to Nascar and the horrified public would have the right to consider prosecution. Also many fans, sponsors, etc would decide they were through with racing.
