Are you f'ing kidding me?

The Charlotte shrine to stock car history added a display saluting her as the first woman in the 65-year history of NASCAR's premier series to qualify first for a Sprint Cup race.

I don't see anything wrong with that. It was historic.

For all of you Danica haters. You have to admit she is good for the sport. Is she a Johnson, Stewart or Edwards? No she isn't, but she isn't a Nemecheck or Yaley either. She has brought new fans and sponsors to OUR sport.

Like her or hate her, she is good for the sport.

The more eyes, the better for our sport.

What part of fan vote don't you understand ? How can a so called media person be so biased and bigoted ? If thousands of new young fans accept her , why can't you get off your elitist high horse and cut her a little slack?
What are you talking about?

Bigoted? Yay for name calling. I can call names too, assclown.

Danica Patrick is so overrated that it's not even funny. I get wanting a woman to succeed but Danica ain't the one who's going to do it.

Put Johanna Long in a good car and you'll find a woman drive her way to a NASCAR victory lane.

yes, so tell me why other then being a she why it is good fore the sport?

well I can't say for sure, but all he got to was the Danica part probably, he didn't see that they are going to have shrubs truck and Jeff's firesuit. Sounds like any museum, they are going to add new exhibits and change it around to make it different. First women to set on the pole is a milestone. Hasn't happened in indycar, or formula 1.

Of course ALREADY! Her storied NASCAR career dates all the way back to 2010. Re-live the magic of all the 27th place finishes...be amazed at all the samples of radio chatter where she denied anything was her fault...revel in the replays of the neverending coverage and praise heaped upon from her 2013 Daytona 500 pole win...it's all here!!

you forgot the TROPHY:)

But for how long? I have been going to races since 85 and I don't know are talk to anyone that want to a race because of her.

All kidding aside, I do think Danica is good for the sport. She's not the first female to compete in NASCAR, but she's already the best to ever do so. There are even a few tracks on the schedule where she's actually a threat to win. If she's bringing new fans to the sport, that's a good thing.

NHOF is losing money and they know no shame. What a JOKE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

maybe they'll stretch tha rules fer a danica win...like they did fer jr. yrs ago. ? ha!

That statement is true for ANY driver though. Other than Daytona and Talladega (The two tracks that ANYONE can win on), I don't really see her being a threat anywhere else. I'm not saying she can't perform well at certain tracks, but she'd have to beat out some pretty great drivers, and I don't see that happening any time soon. I do agree that she is good for the sport though. She's brought in many many fans.

She has them lining up at her souvenir hauler, maybe that will translate to the HoF? People through the turnstiles is the goal. Hopefully she can help keep the place going long enough for me to make it down there.

I think she could possibly be a threat on the road courses too.

I have a no problem with Danica Patrick (I don't hate women) but when someone - anyone - who consistantly runs in the back of the field while driving HMS gear is good for the sport than it's time to take a serious look at Nascar.

Why isn't Casey Mears or David Ragan "good for the sport?"
