I agree with you overall but strictly on driving ability Nemecheck at 30 was a far better driver. He was just a male though and it doesnt mean as much to people as Danicas incredible ability to consistently finish around p30.

Nemechek was actually a decent driver back in the day. He was the 1992 BGN (now Nationwide) champion, and he does have 3 Cup wins. That takes a little talent, I guess.

You can bet I would make the same statements. When all you have done is win one pole and ride around in the back the rest of the season I dont care if your black , green, blue, white, male, female, transgendered or anything else. You dont deserve a square inch in the NHOF.
Edit: that should be the nascar hall of shame.

If you think Danica winning pole at Daytona is a "huge milestone" you're mistaken and clearly the CNN story you heard about the accomplishment got to your head. She's a useless racecar driver. Regardless of race, gender, the fact that her and Stenhouse are boning.. Any of it.
The worse part of it is this "professional sport" that I love continues to stupify itself by keeping this broad relevant. Again, this is not about her being a female. It's about the sad attempts by anyone with a voice in the sport defending her everytime she ***** up.

That's the point ,right there . If Casey Mears or David Ragan was one of Nascar's most popular drivers and won the FAN VOTE as the driver that the majority of FANS wanted into the race . Well ,HELL YEAH , they would be good for the sport . And HELL YEAH Nascar should get them into the race . Why should Andy be the guy who decides that the fans are wrong and Danica shouldn't be allowed to race?

Andy doesn't decide anything for anyone except himself - same as the rest of us.
As for the fan vote, it's a popularity contest and if the fans vote for Patrick, so be it. So either the All Star event is a race of the Nascar elite drivers or it's a circus devised solely for entertainment purposes, but it can't be both at the same time.
However, I'm not convinced that tweaking a rule or "oversight" in the final hours just to help get her in is "good for the sport." IMO, Nascar is betting the farm on her car being raceable after the show down.

It's an exhibition race , it definitely IS for entertainment purposes . Nascar went out of it's way to get Junior in ,as well they should , and to get Danica in , as well they should . By the way , she ran top ten in practice . So maybe she won't need any help.

If she does wad it up in the showdown she could race the back up in the all star race. Just like when they dropped the green in the wet and everyone wrecked in turn 1... I would laugh my ass off it smoke lost two green racecars in the 'all-star' race.

In some situations, crashes can be comical. I didn't wish death on her, calm down.

Bullpucky. If NASCAR changed the rules to essentially guarantee Kasey Kahne or Dale Jr made it in to a race, there'd be even more people crying about it. And Danica wouldn't have a ride at all if she wasn't a woman. She was a decent (at best) IndyCar driver who's not that good in stock cars.

Why is all this discussion about her? Ok she is a women trying to break into the old boys club. Ok I get it. But she is still a rookie why all this discussion on her? Other rookies are doing just as bad as she is. Lets give her some time to get use to this car, new tracks for her etc . Let see where she is in two years when she has had a chance to show what she can do.not all drivers are Dale sr or jimmy johnson.
