They join the ARCA Racing Series Presented by Menards, which races on dirt twice a year.

Andy, damn near any Racecar CAN run on dirt but why would you want to when a Dirt Latemodel, Dirt Modified or a Winged Dirt Sprint car is much more suitable and puts on a Hell of Alot better show?

I would love to see today's CUP cars race on a clay surface. It would be EPIC!!!

Would it be good racing? Who knows. But in the early days, when drivers were racing 2 or 3 times per week, they ran lots of dirt tracks. And it was good racing then!!

Why stop there? Why not use clay cars and race the claymation 500?

I wasn't aware asphalt late models raced for such little money. We have $2,000-$5000 dollar dirt late model races on a regular basis here in east TN.

And a lot more expensive to run. You can actually cut a profit in dirt. But if you race asphalt and win every week at your home track, you'll be lucky to break even.

Tell that to my buddy that just spent 20 grand to build a used Aluminum motor for his Dirt Late Model to run for 2 grand to win shows. Or the guy that won the championship at my track last year and was always in the red after winning.

I was at a 5 grand to win show at Lasalle Speedway last weekend and there were 500,000 dollar haulers with two 60,000 a piece race cars in them running for 5 grand. Dont get me wrong Dirt Late Models are still the bees knees hand NASCAR there ass on a plate with every show being more exciting for me anyway. But there is not much profit to be had mostly just enough to get to the next show. It costs those guys about 2 grand a night to unload and race. The asphalt boys is a little more. They were gonna try the asphalt cars on the dirt at Kankakee Speedway near me but they couldn't get enough of the asphalt boys interested cause they didnt want to get their stuff dirty.
