Atlanta RACE thread

Fast lap times, but they might lose a lap with Logano and Hamlin staying out for this long with longer pitstops.

Great race - I think the weather is gonna hold - oftentimes the fronts slow down this time of day in the Atlanta area (fingers crossed)

Michael: Hamlin and Logano will be running faster laps when they pit

Hey we are racing the rain but lets go to commercial, come back and still show you less of the live race with a pointless race recap that we do 4 times a race.

22/11 lost 44 seconds pitting.
Pitted 10 seconds ahead and came out 34 seconds behind

Lots of empty seats. On track action is great. Ratings will probably be in the toilet. I hope Monster re-ups but I would ask for 3 years for the price of 2. WTF? 36 cars?

At least they did not tear down thousands of seats here...tens of thousands.

Surprised to see Harvick still out, especially since he short pitted the previous run.

Never fun as a broadcaster doing all these sponsored segments....makes the broadcast so disjointed. Part of the beast, though.

This should not be used as a criticism, but yeah. Would be even fewer without the stage stoppages. This is essentially a throwback race at this point. Which means it's good.
I agree, it’s been generally well-officiated and the racing has been very competitive anyways.
