Attending Martinsville

I been to Martinsville years ago. It appears I am going to go this Sunday for the cup race. I will be driving up from Charlotte Sunday morning and will not be able to leave real early since we will be attending the Dirt World Finals on Saturday night at the dirt track.

So assuming I leave Charlotte around 8 in the morning without any race tickets in hand, what suggestions does anyone have for me to get the most out of the day?

Leaving charlotte at 8 will put you right in the middle of the heaviest traffic. There's plenty of parking so, no worries there but you may be sitting in the highway a good while.. Turn two tickets are always dirt cheap so maybe you could shoot for that.

Turn 2 has a pretty nice view. Excellent view of pit-out.

And hey, it's Martinsville; even the worst seats are merely good.

Get some hot dogs....or tacos! There used to be a Taco Bell in a convenience store across from the Food Lion. I think they closed it though. A ten pack of tacos was always a good choice.
