Auto Club 500 Thread

Harvick is up to 5th!! Keep it up!!

Looks like Kurt went a little high and got in the state dry... got loose, and just lost it.

his car doesnt look bad cosmetically, but aerodynamically-speaking, his car is probably screwed at this point.

the 97. My top 10 picks are begining to look bad. So are the Big Dawgs.

WHOA!!! Rusty has harsh words for Tony Stewart.

"I don't know why he was shooting me the bird, but I'll tell ya what.. I'd like to take that finger and jam it up his rear-end, cause i'm not in the mood for this mouth today."

Stewart need to go back on his Med. Or maybe that is the problem. <_<

I missed the first fifty laps of the race. Does anybody know why Tony would be flippin' off Rusty?

Is it time for NASCAR to park Tony Stewart perhaps?
As much as I hate to say it, something needs to be done. Stewart is a great driver, he's just roughing too many people up over nothing.

Just bein Tony....Rusty did nothing that I observed

Rusty and tony got together a bit early on, seemed to me that rusty may have come down on him. but thats just my opinion.

Why would they have 4 races at 2 track that are identically the same? 2 at Fontana and 2 at Michigan.

These tracks are money-makers for their owners, I mean, they hold IRL, CART, Trucks, Nextel Cup, anything. Smart idea for the owners, bad racing for the fans.

I find those "boring" races rather exciting because I think its much more than just side-by-side. Thats what the fans like and want... I find the more technical stuff about it pretty exciting. Pit stops, how the weather affects it, etc.

I just don't see why they would have 4 races at two tracks that are pretty much the same. I mean, there is many more tracks out there that are different and are worthy of a nextel cup date. JMO.

Ah man Harvick is starting to drop back also. From 5th to 11th. :(

and then you got Texas which is basically identical to California and Michigan in some respects. Texas might get a second date.

Kevin's been sliding a bit, leave it to the Goodwrench boys to give him a fast pit stop and get him back into win contention.

Problems continue for Kurt Busch.

another break for guys like Dale Jr, Johnny Sauter and Scott Riggs.

I wish they would let me revise the schedule... I would fix it in a heartbeat.

I'd drop a races at Cali, Michigan, Pocono, Atlanta, New Hampshire, and I'd do away with Phoenix all together.

I'd add more short tracks and give some others a chance.

If it were me, I'd move the Pepsi 400 to the last top 10 races for the chase or make it the last race of the season, start at Daytona, end at Daytona.

I'd add road courses, maybe modify some tracks, give some tracks banking here, repave there.

This may sound rare for a guy like me, but I'd keep Rockingham in, give it lights, let em race at night, same for Dover. Maybe get Rockingham to the summer, put Talladega at night.

I would take a couple of races and add 2 3/4 mi. dirt tracks.

and what about Kasey Kahne, these guys have been cracking out good pit stops for the 9 team.

wouldnt be surprised if he heads to victory lane today. A very strong car and good pit strategy.

ok, after they just showed replays of rusty and tony, there apperared to be a second incident where tony took rusty into the wall on the second one. I missed that second one and it sure looked like tony was retaliating for the first contact. that was just plain wrong on tony's part. looks like another meeting with helton and darby is coming.

maybe a suspension, of course we dont want to see suspension, however whatever it'll take to fan Stewart's flames.

that second run in that I missed earlier was just plain and simple a temper problem. If rusty had come down on him in the first one, that sure is no way to handle it.
Don't mind me bringing this up again and again, I was just trying to be open minded about tony.

Kevin has handleing problems. Just trying to hold on untill next pit stops.
