Got this thread a little late but here it is. Phoenix International Raceway plays host to this race.

Qualifications just ended and Kyle Busch set a new track record with a speed of 134.298 mph. That obviously put Kyle on the pole. Congrats Kyle.

I was hoping Danica would of qualified better but she will move up.

I think we need to see a pic of Spike's girlfriend :D

Because I have gotten to know her and she is my favorite driver, what is wrong with that??

I became a Danica fan after I saw her on Conan a few years back when he asked her "So when you and your husband go somewhere who does the driving?". To which she answered "he does, he doesn't like my driving, he says I drive too fast and dart in and out of traffic".

But now I have 2 divers I'm pulling for in this race Danica and Trevor.

Cannot believe Roush has no sponsorship for Bayne and Stenhouse. Smaller teams have sponsorship and Roush Doesn't. I am surprised sponsors weren't knocking down the door after Bayne won the 500.

This tells me that the cost to sponsor a Nationwide care is just too high for the benefits it gives a business.

So far, the Top Five is being held by Cup drivers, I see a problem with this, does anyone else?

Yep, but if it weren't for Cup guys being in the race, I'd bet there would be only about 32 cars.

*shrugs* fine by me. At least then we'd see a battle for first place instead of Kyle Busch dominating the entire race.

Currently you'd have Bayne 2 seconds out in front of Sorenson.

Would you have a different opinion if Jimmie Johnson was dominating this race?

racing luck going the otherway for Bayne this weekend.

Be a better race if Carl actually tried to pass him.

Alright, I haven't watched more than a handful of laps of a Nationwide race in probably four years, but I'm about to tick some people off by complaining about them anyway.

I'm not really trying to slam Kyle Busch, as his talent behind the wheel I think is second to none, but when I hear about all the records and achievements he's amassed, I can't help but think one thing. There's another record he might very well have broken, or will break in the near future: Most starts in series' well below his ability. That's the 800 lb gorilla in the room. He's starting to get to a point where when people look back at what he's done, he'll be remembered more as a Nationwide driver than a Cup driver. He's gotta have at least 20 Cup wins, but the way he dominates the Nationwide and Truck Series when he runs, it makes you wonder what he wants to prove. It isn't a whole lot right now. With all the talent he has, does he really want to be known as a Nationwide first driver, somebody who let his Cup level talent go to waste to run the minor leagues?

Um...he's 25 years old. His career is far from over. He has plenty of time. At 25, he's four races away from beating Mark Martin's all-time win record in the Nationwide/Busch Series. Kyle will continue to break records and is arguably the best driver to ever sit in a stock car.
