finally down to the conference finals. i think dallas will make short order of okc and will be the less interesting of the finals. chicago and miami played a great first half last night, then miami napped through the second half. can either of them beat dallas? i'm a bulls fan but won't mind if dallas wins. i wouldn't bet against them either. go bulls!

I usually stop watching NBA basketball after my Phx Suns are either eliminated from contention or from the playoffs.

The playoffs this year, however, have intrigued me. I guess I just want to see how far the Miami Heat can go after all the hype that preceeded the season. I don't care who advances, but I'll definitely be watching. Good luck to your Bulls.

I've had a hard time watching much of these playoffs since the Cavs aren't in it for the first time in years. I can't stand the Heat and LeBron just annoys the hell out of me anymore. Being from my hometown of Akron, it bugs me when he makes an @ss of himself like he has done so many times lately. I do like the Bulls though and I was pretty happy to see that they beat MEami up pretty good in the first game.

I also have been a Mavericks fan for years. I really like the Thunder and Kevin Durant in particular, though, so it will be kind of a tough series to watch. I will watch some of it though.

I think Dallas is the team to beat at this point, but you just never know. They had the Heat beat several years ago in the NBA Finals until the refs decided to start calling the most rediculous fouls ever called anytime somebody was in the same zip code as Dwyane Wade (and no I didn't misspell his name, his mother did). That's another reason why my excitement over the NBA playoffs has lessened over the years. I've just seen too many times where the refs just decide which team is going to win.

i enjoyed watching the thunder/grizzlies playoff more than the others so far. nice to see small market teams putting on a great show. unfortunately they're just out manned at this point in time.

the heat just turned me off after the wade/james/bosh fiasco. spoelstra should be fired if he doesn't bring home a championship. what more does he need to win a championship? he's had all season to get these guys working together.

I'll have to pick the Mavs, I don't like Miami, can't stand Dwade. I think Dallas is peaking at the right time and have a good veteran team. Miami will fold IMO.

mavs looked good last night. can the bulls defense stop nowitzki? looking forward to see how noah plays him. i really want to see a bulls/mavs finals. the heat are good but they don't have the toughness of a winner.

Nowitzki was awesome last night. He scored like 48 points and missed 3 shots the whole game. 12-15 from the floor and 24-24 from the line, I think I saw. I didn't watch the game, I was watching the Indians game instead. I was glad to see that the Mavs won and I was also glad to see that the game was pretty close.

Heat and Bulls in a best of five now, with three of those games in Miami.

Should be interesting.

Dallas lost the second game of the Western Conference Finals to Oklahoma City last night. The Thunder deserved to win that game. They played extremely well. I still think the Mavs will win the series, but it just got a lot more interesting.

i still think it's going to be a bulls/mavs final. kudos to okc for a great game last night but i just don't think they can beat the mavs in a 7 game series. same for the heat. the bulls will get their defense cranked up again and derrick rose will stay out of foul trouble. when that happens, they win.

I think you are right, and man I sure hope so. I don't think I could handle the MEami Heat celebrating a world championship.

great comeback by the mavs. :) the bulls need to get their act together or they're done.

I hope Dallas destroys the Heat in the finals, I can't stand Dwade or Lebron.

strangely enough, i liked both wade and lebron before they conspired to create a super team for the next xx years. now like most other people i want to see them beaten because imo it's not good for the sport. watching the mavs last night one thing stood out showing the difference between the mavs and bulls. the mavs can come back from being down and win (so far), chicago can come back and lose. <g> i'm still rooting for the bulls to win but it's definitely an uphill fight for them.

That was a pretty good game last night. Oklahoma City led for most of the night, but the Mavericks just kept within striking distance and made the plays at the end that they had to make.

I'm getting over my hatred of LeBron and the Heat. I still don't like the Heat at all, and I still don't like much about what LeBron has done over the last several years. But, I have to admit that it would be kind of cool for a kid from my hometown to win an NBA title. I don't want to make excuses for the guy, but it is pretty understandable that a guy would become narcissistic when he has been told he is the best since he was in about 6th grade or so. Growing up with a crack addict for a mom and no dad in the picture couldn't have helped prepare him for life very well either.

How he handled "The Decision" on national tv, how he quit against the Celtics and many other things still bother me, but it isn't really my place to judge the guy. I'm certainly not perfect either.

I'm certainly still rooting for the Mavericks in the Finals, but seeing the Heat win wouldn't be the end of the world for me.

ok, those last 2 minutes were really ugly. congrats to the heat for winning the eastern conference championship. dallas and miami should be a good series. go mavs!

Okay, mike honcho, let's keep score shall we?

Texas Rangers -- made it to the World Series and lost.
Pittsburgh Steelers -- made it to the Super Bowl and lost.

Dallas Mavericks -- in the NBA Finals.

Hey at least they make it there.Let's see Redskins didn't make it,Orioles didn't make it and currently 4th in AL East,Rangers 1st in AL West. Not sure who you pull for in basketball but unless it's the Heat they LOSERS too.

Woo-Hoo! It's officially a series! Tied up one all.

Don't care who wins, but great stuff tonight!

Nice avatar!!!

can't beat the last half of the 4th quarter last night. i thought the mavs would get just so far and stall. they didn't, great come from behind effort. they better not rely on comebacks like that again. the heat have too many horses to allow that to happen very often. my heart wants the mavs to win. my head says the heat will win. probably until around 2015 or so before anyone can challenge them. <g>

That was a really good game. That was a great come from behind effort by the Mavericks. Of course, if Dirk hadn't struggled so much earlier in the game it might not have been needed. Then again, you never know, it might have played out all together differently.

How bout those MAVS:beerbang::beerbang:
man, this series is killing me. can't somebody take the lead in a game and hold on to it? lovin it so far though. :)

really want a mavs championship, especially for dirk and jason kidd.

LeBron and Bosh should get Emmies for the acting jobs they been putting on to get the foul call.
