So what's the best and worse of NASCAR Racing Season 2013?

Best: Gen6. Honestly, this car has produced a lot of good racing, better racing than the original COT. Sure there are still some things they need to work out, such as making the car less depended on Aero, but other than that I think the Gen6 car gave a solid performance for it's freshman year.

Worst: Honestly, this was kinda split for me. The Richmond debacle is right there at the worst of 2013 which completely messed up The Chase standings to a point where NASCAR had to artificially place drivers into The Chase or take them out. I don't think MWR will be living that one down anytime soon.

There's also the cautions. Homestead actually showed what was wrong with NASCAR caution's call. There were cautions for a plastic wrapper, part of an air hose or something, and someone running into the wall but remaining in control of his car. However when a car is on ****** FIRE, nope, no caution until the tire explodes! NASCAR really should work on the caution calls in the future, it's just getting ridiculous.

NASCRAP is run by a group of slugs...The fan base has been lost due to their lack of credibility and SNAKEY way of doing their business. Everyone blames economics for the decline of fannys in the seats...I say B.S. Football stadiums were FULL all over the country on both Saturday & Sunday this past weekend...The slugs are so embarrassed by the attendance figures, they stopped announcing the numbers...On the other hand almost 75,000,000 people attended a MLB game and just over 41,000,000 people attended a Minor League game in 2012

I'll go with smitty.
Best- Trucks on dirt at Eldora, most fun I've had watching a single race in years.
Worst- The Richmond debacle, just wish it would go away.

The best: the California race and both Bristol races.

The worst: the Richmond debacle and Tony Stewart missing the last 1/3 of the season.

Same here,

Best California race, Eldora truck race, both road course races, love those things anymore..

worst, Richmond deal, losing Jason Leffler.

Best: a Jeff Gordon being rightfully admitted into the chase & finishing 6th. If he "didn't belong" then the other 6 drivers behind him should've caught up.

Worst: The camera cable snapping & injuring fans.

I'll try and change it up:

Best: Phoenix is now becoming one of my favorite races to watch.

Worst: All four restrictor plate races. Man I never thought I'd be that bored watching Daytona and Dega....bring back the tandeum?

Best race overall: Eldora trucks
Best cup race: California
Worst event (nascar): Hamlin injured no safer barrier
Validated: Kenseth, ok we knew he was a great driver prior, but he really shined in better equipment.
Most improved: Lagano from a c grade to b.
Honorable mentions: Busch brothers more mature this year.
Harvick finishes strong with RCR.

Best: Matt Kenseth returning the #20 to its former glory.

Worst: Kyle Larson's engine flying into the stands at Daytona.

Oh gods, I remember that engine. That was pretty horrible.

Best from a racing standpoint was the final laps of California
My personal favorite moment was obviously Jimmie winning the championship.

The worst from a racing standpoint was what happened at Richmond and everything that followed.
The worst, to me, were the 4 racing that concluded the regular season where Jimmie finished no higher than 28th I believe.

Still a great season, and I can't wait for next year. Bring on the Daytona tests :beerbang:

Kurt taking Furniture Row Racing into the chase has to be a highlight.

The low point, was the debacle over who was in the chase, who was out,

Best for me has got to be California and (for me) Joey's season. Bested almost every stat. I loved the truck race at Eldora too.

Worst is all the injuries, sickness and death.. Hamlin, Stewart, Leffler (R.I.P.), Fans in the Daytona crash, the cable incident, Brian Vickers blood clots returning, Trevor Bayne diagnosed with MS........

As well as how boring and painful it was to see what they turned Daytona into.

Best: Some of the awesome races, i.e. California, Bristol 1, and of course the last 2 races of the season. Jimmie is champ, Kyle and Kev did well, Allgier may be in cup in 2014, Wrecking Noob was replaced by Awesomedinger, and Juan is out. The Joey-Hamlin feud was also good, besides the fact Denny got hurt. And Road America NW was the best race in any series I have seen in a long, long time.

Worst: All the injuries -- there were so many this season, between Annett, Stewart, Hamlin, Vickers, Truex, Hamlin for a second time, Vickers getting a blood clot, the fans at a couple races, and some other I am probably forgetting. Also Leffler dying :(. The Richmond scandal was interesting to see play out but I dont like how it affected the season. Also there were some races that absoulutely SUCKED -- Daytona 500 (and to a lesser extend the 400), Phoniex 1, Dover 1, and another race early in the season that was absolute domination that I am blanking on right now. It wasnt pocono because I liked the outcome of that :).
