In this particular case, I don't mind much. I've never liked the 'invitation-only test session' aspect of this race. Running the old car on a non-points circuit definitely removes that from it. The Daytona layout is such an odd duck that even if they ran the new car, I don't know how much of what they'd learn would transfer to the other road courses.Relevant to the new season and the roll out of this fantastic 2021 brand spanking new Thoroughbred.

Like I said, I'm so desperate for NASCAR racing by February, you bet your butt I'll be watching it. But, I wish NASCAR would leave the past behind and fully embrace the new machine immediately after their crappy Awards Banquet.
