Big engines start

Kathy says if 4 engines are good then 5 must be better.

Here are a couple of our warm up videos on you tube when I was on Bodes team.

Hey, I wonder who shot that bottom one? LOL

(hint for the others - Dad and I were one of very few in the tent not wearing a mask)

Is that when you came out to California and hung out in our pit for a while? That has been so long ago I had forgot about that. :)

Wow that cam lopes!

Fun fact: The cam only has some effect on blower lope.

Most of the lope is a lean/rich/lean/rich condition that is self-causing.

On gas, RPM comes up with rich and goes down with lean.

On alcohol, RPM comes up with lean and goes down with rich.

As hat vacuum goes up and down with surge, it can also pull the throttle blades shut, making the condition even worse.

The only way to solve it is to have perfect Air/Fuel ratio at idle - which can change with RPM and temperature and barometer and boost and every other environmental variable known to mankind.

We have two 1/4" holes, an 1/8" hole, and a ball valve at 50% for adjusting idle on ours. It surges at idle until about 130 degree water temperature. So we stage at 140.

Yep, have a rod hanging on the shelf
I don't think I ever showed you any of the nostalgia funnycars I worked on a few years back. Here is a video of one of them at Kevin Harvick and Rick Mears hometown Bakersfield Ca.
