Big shake-up at Hendricks.

As far as the #25, there haven't been a great crop of driver filling that seat prior to Junyer. Tim Richmond was very successful, but the others... Schrader, he actually did really well. Ricky Craven, Wally Dallenbach, Jerry Nadeau, Joe Nemecheck, Casey Mears -- not exactly a hall of fame roster of drivers there.

Why wouldn't Rick put a top notch driver in the seat?

Honestly, he'd have a top notch driver there right now if he hadn't brought Junyer in.

Jeff Gordon, Jimmie Johnson, Mark Martin and Kyle Busch would be a destructive team. Hendrick would be unstoppable.

But, when Junyer didn't perform, Hendrick took Mark's very successful team, tore it apart and sent it to Junyer where the mediocrity continued.

Fact remains that one side of the house performs while the rest struggle.
Why?

Mark is now in his 50's, Jeff is now a father, and Junior is, well, Junior. Even with the change in crewchief's, I see no significant improvement with this bunch. JMO

What Hendrick did for the 2010 season was take the 5/25-88 shop and finally apply the same approach that had been working in the 24/48 shop for years.

The 24/48 shop worked as one team and the 5/25-88 shop had worked as separate teams for years. I honestly believe the 5/25-88 shop is years behind the 48/24 shop.

Hendrick may say its a 4 car team, but in reality its 2 2 car teams.

Very good point, I agree, the 24 and 48 are way above what the other 2 are.
