Birthdays.

Why are the majority of people's birthdays in their profile listed as Dec. 31?
Certainly all of these people could not have been born on the same day.
I've noticed it on other sites, too.

I'm really not sure, but it might have something to do with when Sam made the conversion of this board from an Invision board to a vBulletin board. That is just my best guess, tho'.

It's the default date. If they do not enter their birthday that is what shows up.
