Bonehead of the Week: Bristol I

Somebody in Daytona Beach has watched these last few races and decided this is the excitement fans crave.

Bruton Smith for screwing this track up in 2007 and every half hearted failed attempt to make it race well since. Fix Bristol the way it was. The cars don't help either, but I'm particularly pissed off about how we refuse to make the track what it was. We have the technology.

Whoever decided less horsepower, a bigger tire and a diffuser was going to produce good racing on anything but a road course. Oval racing requires off throttle time and the least grip possible to be good. The last 3 weeks have killed ANY excitement I had from the first few weeks of the season. Back to reality. The car is horrible.

I liked Preece doing his best backmarker Ryan Newman imitation whenever Larson got close to him after it was all over. Semi bonehead because nothing happened instead of full, but I got tired of holding my breath.
