We now race on Easter Sunday and Mother's Day, which are both important in the south. But we don't even run Xfinity or Trucks next week? Surely there could be a standalone race at Iowa or something.

Mothers' Day doesn't seem to hurt ticket sales at Darlington. I've seen plenty of women of all ages with what appear to be their children. Spending the day at the track seems to suit them fine.

Chase finished fifth. He wasn't going to get there pitting with along everyone else.

Chase at this point is only interested in winning a race. Finishing 2nd does absolutely nothing for him. If he had pit with everybody else he would have had a 0% chance of winning. Staying out gave him a slim chance of winning but that is better than 0. Blaney had been running in the 30s all day and after staying out was running in the teens before he wrecked. How were either of them staying out the wrong call?
