Bowyer, Gordon Feud

A feud like this is good for the sport in my opinion....may not be the best for the car owners pocket books....but that is the risk you take lol
 
I think that if Bowyer took it to Gordo in the Chase next year, Michael Waltrip would not care.

Bowyer will block and harass Gordon until Jeff runs into him, and then he'll take his revenge. That's exactly what Jeff did during the months after MV. I know because I watched them when they were around each other.
 
IMO, it would be extremely counterproductive of Bowyer to continue this whole mess with Gordon. Bowyer/MWR made some incredible strides this past year and if Bowyer can't keep his ego in check, it could all be derailed in 2013.

I don't see that happening.
 
If the situation presents itself I think Bowyer takes advantage of it but I don't think he will go out of his way to do anything.
 
If Bowyer makes the chase next year I don't see him jeopardizing his position. If he's not in or well down in the standings the gloves will come off.
He's a short tracker, he won't forget.

And I bet ESPN is hoping that Bowyer isn't in the chase next year, just so that Jeff will have the cross hairs on him.

Jeff Gordon has millions of $$$$$....He could STEAL any of MWR sponsors if so chooses...Just like Mikey did with NAPA to the Earnhardt family after #3 died....It's a nasty,nasty world deep inside the bowls of NASCRAP.....
 
NASCAR needs some excitement like this. It's not a bad thing and I wish some of the media would stop portraying it to be. I'm involved in the NASCAR media world and I've never once labeled that feud as a bad thing. I'm not saying NASCAR needs to take the WWE approach, but some rivalries are needed.
 
Gordon's days are numbered, sorry to say and I'm sure he wants to go out with #5. Bowyer has his future in front of him, he has more chances of a championship then gordon right now. He'll be the one who doesn't forget. Gordon will need to play defense around him.

What media members are labeling this as a bad thing? Any examples? Just curious because I haven't heard it portrayed that way at all by anyone in the media and I'd like to read for myself what you are talking about.

Even if you give Bowyer a win at Phoenix and Homestead he wouldn't have had a chance at the title. This crap that he was a contender has no logical basis. He took Jeff out at Martinsville the first race there, he ran him to the fence twice at Texas, they had contact at Watkins Glen and in the second race as Martinsville. Then Bowyer hits him and Phoenix and Jeff gives it back. Tough sh*t for Bowyer. Get over it.

Bowyer is the Alpha in this case. Gordon is like why won't you talk to me?? I like how Bowyer is playing his cards or not ****talking. He isnt a loose cannon either he stayed calm and he did what the had to do at Homestead. Any payback remains to be scene, he may never even try, Jeff has more to worry about if he goes pyscho Phoenix again, he will look even dumber, and he doesn't really know what to expect from Clint. That unknown card is as good as doing something.

Jeff is at the point in his career that he doesnt have to put up with crap off of the likes of Bowyer or anybody else. Clint is still sulking because he finally got what he deserved after being warned several times in 2010, 2011 and this year. Also Jeff said that bowyer didnt have the balls to even look at him, not that he wouldnt talk to him. Bowyer thinks that being childishly funny all of the time seeking peoples approval makes him able to do whatever he likes but he's finding out how untrue that is. Warned by who? None of this was even in the news until Jeff took out three cars during his retaliation effort when others paid the price. I don't recall ever reading anything about some long history between the two. I can't see anything in this other than an overreaction to a racing deal. We've seen it by others but this is the first time by Gordon.

Fabrications don't get citations. Martinsville is the only point I have seen, and that is debatable, he was a sitting duck on old tires, the following stack up was unavoidable. Gordon deservingly has many fans, if a history of Bowyer harassment existed as good fans they would be throwing down those actual events to support their driver.

Apparently they do not exist, consequently that just leaves rote like responses.
 
gotta give credit to the gordon fans. they've given up the "best ever" chant but still back their driver, even when he does something as blatantly wrong as what he did in phoenix.

bowyer now holds the cards. i don't see him calling things even and letting it go. sorry jeff fans. your drivers got one coming. and he will get his. and i'd expect it when the stakes of the game are pretty high. and then the guys in the big red truck will have to make a difficult decision.

Even the media questioned Gordons '5 or 6 times' statement, with Larry Mac saying he only remembers Martinsville. I honestly think this was more about Bowyer bumping JJ at Martinsville. JJ wouldn't move, and things got a little rough.

As far as Gordon retaliating, he's done it many times but never before affected the championship. Bowyer clearly would have rolled into Homestead as much chance to win it as JJ had.
 
If continuing the so called feud , takes Clint out of contention in a race next year , then I hope he takes the high road and doesn't retaliate . Jeff would look kinda silly if Clint didn't retaliate .IMO

Newman was in a car built by Hendrix. he cant be the enemy, so make Bowyer the Taliban. Same cant be the enemy logic applies when Jr flattened his tire at Bristol. He just failed in thinking he could avoid any blow back, or that the 15 team would take his BS.
Now it's Clint is the meanie cause he wont talk to me, how dare him .

I am not a prevaricator sir and this is not the podium so hold up on the name calling and read some of your past posts to see who the chief fabricator around here is. My wife is an avid JG fan so I am privy to as much information about him as FB has about Bad Brad which is volumes. It has been sort of simmering on and off for a couple of years in the "he nudged me out of the way so I nudged him back category" until this year when bowyer began getting overly aggressive and according to JG at the time he talked to him about it to no avail. And just because some you dont know about it doesnt mean it did not exist. Non of us no matter how big a fan can follow all of the drivers. Replying to you is like trying to rope a cloud, why bother, this response is really for the other posters.

I don't know why this isn't brought up when talking about Martinsville. Does anyone think that if Bowyer hadn't been dropped kicked by Newman that maybe Gordon and Johnson would have tried to block the track and would have probaly been taken out anyway since they were on old tires? They got screwed up because the caution put them in a bad cituation along with a bad call by their crew chiefs and tried to find somewhere else to place the blame.

Whatever, but still no substance to verify the claims, and there are people who listen on the radios or watch Gordon almost exclusively on their satellites. I am not asking you to present the info either; somebody would have already made the case if the data existed. It is not an unfair question and to me it looks like suspicious claim that is far too convenient for Gordon to use.

Unless something new comes up, I am done with the topic I would only be repetitious by continuing.
 
I like beating, banging and going for the win. I don't like intentional walling, especially from some laps down fool.
 
Bowyer came into my workplace this afternoon. I could have asked him all of these questions, but I can guarantee that the entire town had me beat! It's quite possible that more people asked him about Gordon than they did about his great run this year. As a driver, I'm sure they would much rather talk about how great they are running than talk about a feud they have going on. With that said, I don't see them continuing their feud next year. The thing is though, from here on out...even if these guys have even the slightest of battles, their past will be brought up.
