Boyers fine?

I don't think he should be fined at all. Guess you never listened to George Carlin who said it right "it's only words". This country needs to get back to what it was before all this PC Crap.
Hahaha, blue, what the hell!?
PC? Greg is talking about the castration of Bowyer! He definitely ain't being pc.

Rewatch Carlin and reread Greg - you'll find their wit and brand of biting humor has a lot in common.

Carlin would have tore the current Nascar sweeties a new one

I am all for letting Clint cuss during his purification. He can even use Carlins dictionary. Just add in Brian washing out his potty mouth with a Nascar appoved sponsored soap.
That would be TIDE !

I want to agree with with but nah.

Just because he was harsh on Sorenson calling him a start and park. The balls on that guy...

Remember when he called Waltrip the worst NASCAR driver? Well that turn out nicely.

Now he's talking about start and parkers like they ain't sh!t. In a few years I hope he's one of them.

Oh come no now how many times have we talked down on start and parks on here? But what he said is true, I mean I even said it in the thread that the reason Reed wasn't moving out the way with his damage is because he has to do everything he can to make sure he can start the race. I don't think Clint really meant it in a bad way and if it wasn't for the stupid system Nascar came up with he wouldn't have said it because none of it would have happened.

I agree Blaze . It would be too bad if this turns into a thing about Clint and not about the qualifying procedure.

Like I am all for this qualifying for any race but a Plate race, it doesn't seem to really cause a mess at any of the other tracks but it has here, it did at Dega last year so Nascar should sit down and see even the drivers don't like it and do something.

Do you get a sense that a sit down might happen? Or is Nascar listening to someone else?

I only want one more thing from clint.

I want him to take mikey out behind the wood shed and whip his nascar kissing a$$.

a nascar team owner ought to have more balls than what I heard on sunday.

jmo

Start the qualifying clock at 1:55 and see how long they sit waiting.
Another good call would be "Once you move your car you must proceed on track without stopping.

Mikey puts his Nacar hat on when he enters the broadcast booth . They all do . Some broadcasters seem to get away with some backhanded jibes , but for the most part , they have to be positive about the sport they are broadcasting.

Remember, he will be subject to a penalty for leaving his car before receiving approval to do so. In theory that penalty should be unrelated to his comments.

I wondered about this throughout the rest of the telecast yesterday. I did not hear anyone mention that NASCAR would address the Rules violation with him. If he is allowed to violate the "don't get out of your car" rule, what does that say for NASCAR's credibility going forward?

I find RP racing interesting from a strategic standpoint and I think that this forum is a bit too hard on it. The rules package of the late 90s - early 2000s really did a good job of emphasizing the strategy part of it. Pack racing is a lot of fun to watch. It just sucks when they run single file.

I like seeing a giant pack roaring to the checkers with guys jostling for position and trying to find the best line to set themselves up for a good finish.

Talladega and Daytona are great races.......and, yes, they are dangerous because of the speeds. However, wrecks happen at every tract on the schedule, and given the speeds reached at Michigan, Atlanta, and other tracks....well.....These two are special events, but please NASCAR do not mess with the traditional qualifying method for them.

Clint said it like it is. The media loves CB. Did you hear the commentators? Ohhhhhh theres Clint. Im sure he will have something to say about what happened. Reed, for his part looked like he was going to cry. Can't say I blame him...just trying to make the show...the circus show that is Daytona qualifying. Its like a train wreck...you hate it, but cant look away

The "traditional" qualifying methods for those tracks are already history.
