Brickyard 400 Race Thread

Agreed.I wish they'd do that on every telecast instead of the usual human interest stories.

GO MARK!!! :beerbang::beerbang:

I would also love to see Awesome Bill from Dawsonville get a top-10 today if not a win. :)

I'd love to see Martin, Elliot or even Montoya win today. I'm pulling for all three of those guys to do very well.

Not a bad job with the National Anthem, but WTF was with the "interprater" crap?

They got a lot of empty seats, not like that's a surprise after Indianapolis Motor Speedway didn't refund tickets after last year's so-called "race".

OK, it's 100º outside, they're finally having a Sunday race that doesn't conflict with Saturday night short tracks, and I dont have much to do today...let's go racin'!

Juan Pablo Montoya, winner of the 2000 Indianapolis 500, leads at Indianapolis!

Single file train racing. :rolleyes: Once again, ORP proves it's the real stock car track in town! :beerbang:

Time to take a nap.What a let down.2 great races the last 2 days then here comes the best in the business and they run this SNOOZEFEST.

So, lets see how the 48 car manages to pull this one out of his ass. :rolleyes:

Guess I haven't missed much, had to listen to the first 60 laps on the horrible IMS/PRN networks. Race seemed a little exciting on radio, but then I sat down and watched the last 60 laps. Now I am going to walk outside and watch my grass grow for about 15 minutes. Just a big payday for the Cupsters today.

EVERYONE, even the NASCAR yes-men, on Twitter from KP to Marty Smith is saying the penalty was bs.

Hey, where the heck has Felix been. I guess his car is up front, so that means lets do a interview with him.

Um, Doc, Jimmie Johnson started 1st and led just about every lap last year.:rolleyes:

Whenever there's something like this, it's usually split as to who thinks what. There is unanimous consensus that NASCAR penalized JPM to make the race interesting. EVERYONE is saying that right now. Even people loyal to NASCAR are saying this.

NASCAR gave this one away.
