Bristol extends SAFER barrier to narrow track, improve racing

Isn't the inside wall at Bristol safer-barrierless?I think it would be better used there.
 
I agree, something was lost at Bristol when they repaved,reconfigured it.
Who knows, now that Nascar will let them bump-draft in the corners, maybe we'll see some excitement there again....

I'm a fan of the side by side racing that the newer banking produced @ Bristol. For years the only way to get by someone was to knock them out of the way. I don't mind being in the minority but I'll take today's Bristol over the previous version.

That is the definition of all racing.Fastest car gets to the front and the others follow him to the checkers.Nothing wrong with that. Except at Bristol he would encounter lap traffic,slow down,and someone would take him out from behind.Not exactly racing ,more like roller derby ,but fun to watch.

That's all the old track was. Everyone was in line and passing was done by nudging or knocking someone out of the way. They do more side-by-side racing now.

I think what Bristol wants to accomplish is cause a few more wrecks. The racing is good, but not enough wrecks for those type of fans.

Or just more use of the chrome horn..not neccecerily crashes
