Bristol Sprint Cup thread --- new and improved.

???
You ask that because I said I don't like someones smile? Alrighty then...
No, because your posts are a little on the uh younger side, just wonderin.

Congrats to Hamlin and also congrats to Tony for what will surely be nominated for throw of the year :D.

Two handed, cross body helemt throw and left handed...and it was a center hit...that has to be right up there with the Canadian shoe throw!

The best car won. I like that.
Tony Stewart is an amazing driver; but he's an idiot and I hope NASCAR fines the sh!t out of him and parks his ass.
Stewart's behavior is childish, unacceptable and flat out does not belong in NASCAR.

Lol. Never gonna happen. NASCAR loves this stuff. And emotion DOES belong.

Tony has assured himself a place in highlight reels and Bristol commercials for years to come...

Agree Stewart needs a big fine for that behavior

You said all of this about Tony and your driver is Who? Yeah right. And it does belong in nascar, its part of what nascar is all about and always has been.

Ugh, I hate that Sprint Girls smile!

The one with the whiter than white hair struck me as member from the cast of Casper the friendly ghost

I believe on Tuesday, Tony is going to learn the hard way that NASCAR feels that acting like an idiot doesn't belong in NASCAR racing.

Yeah I found that quote funny too.Coming from a Kyle Fan.

I would bet money that NASCAR does nothing. No one was in danger and NASCAR likes this type of thing. It's been replayed on every network that shows sports highlights and the crowd loved it. Hell I even liked it. I suspect that if a Ford driver had thrown a helmet at someone your outrage would be greatly reduced.

And when has NASCAR penalized someone for a helmet toss? Bodine didn't get penalized for throwing his helmet at Nelson Piquet Jr at Pocono a couple of weeks ago. Throwing a helmet it a harmless way to express anger IMO.

First off, no. Throwing a helmet at a racecar shows immaturity and lack of self control.
Secondly, Robby Gordon - 2005:
NASCAR fined Robby Gordon $25,000, 25 driver points and 25 car owner points for this childish temper tantrum [throwing a helmet at a moving racecar].
Robby wasn't done yet.
When faced with a live national television audience Robby Gordon called Michael Waltrip "a piece of %&@#." For that comment Robby was fined an additional $10,000 and an additional 25 driver points..."

The deal with Robby was long coming and that was well before "Boys have at it."

Since then NASCAR has enjoyed that 99% of NASCAR fans like that these guys are more free to express their disdain for actions of opposing drivers.:)

We'll all see what happens on Tuesday.

That would be an interesting twist because 25 points would move Stewart out of the top ten.

It isn't going to happen.

But wasn't it you that thought it was funny when KYLE pushed Kevins unmanned car on pit road?????????

They say that if you dont have an imagination just steal somebody elses idea and try to flatulate it err inflate it err blow it out etc, looks like it works on forums also.

But wasn't it you that thought it was funny when KYLE pushed Kevins unmanned car on pit road?????????
And shot the bird to the officials and a hundred other infractions, huh?????

Sorry to add to your post Mike, well not really.

Yes, the 25 point fine on Gordon was way before the "new" point system. They may elect a smaller point deduction for Tony or no point deduction at all but I bet either way Stewart writes a check on Tuesday.

I can tell you this, if that helmet comes up for auction at Eldora next year, I am all in.

I told my wife this morning that it will probably be on a charity auction with Tony and Matts autographs by the end of the year.

I doubt Stewart will lose any points. Did he even get called to the hauler? If anything, a check will get written.

Now you are messing with me. I have posted that link at least 5-6 times.
Usually dont have time to click on many links, no race today, bored out of my skull, wont be for long though the sun just slipped below the yardarm.
