Bryan Clauson had a nasty crash tonight apparently.

Tears me up on the inside man.

I don't know much about Clauson, but what I do know is that he was the truth when it came to dirt racing and everyone loved him. Taken too soon.

RIP Mr. Clauson.

It's the dark side of the sport we love so much. At least he went out doing what he loved.....:(

Thoughts are with his family...

Even though I didn't follow his career very closely, his passing has hit me hard, harder than J. Wilson, Leffler, and about on par with Wheldon. The last tweet he put out just kills me.

RIP BC. Thoughts are with his family.

Man, where do you even start with these things? The past two years more than ever, I have fallen in love with dirt racing. I take my 4 year old son on almost a weekly basis to a short track here in California. This Saturday we were in Watsonville, CA watching 43 dirt Mods. I watched as a driver that I have grown up watching and getting to know took a hard hit into the front stretch wall. Luckily he was ok, but it is something that I constantly preach to my son. Never, ever, forget how dangerous this sport is.

I never got the chance to see Bryan drive, but in the past 2 years I have become an avid fan of winged and wingless sprint cars. I watched Rico flip his 410 winged sprint in Tulare this year and countless others and I am truly amazed at how these guys continue to step out of these machines.

These cars are scary, yet so entertaining. This one really gets to me. As a fan and friend to many of the sprint car drivers out here on the west coast I know and understand what Bryan meant to them and to the sport. We lost a tremendous, tremendous racecar driver.

The thing I love most about the dirt is the community that exists. From a hobby stock to a mod, from a dirt late model to a sprint car. These guys will do whatever to help each other in the drop of a hat. It's a true family.

Just a really sad day.

I was lucky enough to get to see Bryan race 3 times this year as part of his circular insanity tour, and got to see him win two 410 sprint car races this year at Bloomington and Kokomo, got the chance to meet him a couple of times and get his autograph. Super nice guy, and a true racer. Not many guys out there race in so many different types of cars like him, anything open wheel on dirt, IndyCar, NASCAR. I was following his "Chasing 200 Circular Insanity Tour" this year, was a lot of fun checking his results every week.
Was an awesome driver and a really nice guy. RIP

His 40 fasternal tools car was cool. at least he died doing his hobby.

Ordered a pair this morning.

they really need to so something to make those cars safer. one look at one of the cars in person and its easy to see why there are alot more injuries in these things. your shoulders and left arms are exposed. This part of racing has a limited budget and its likely hard to make alot of changes with the cars without having a negative impact on the car owners.

I just watched a repeat of him winning this year's Bud Oval Nationals, it's...kinda poignant, and bittersweet...
