Arrington was a die hard Mopar man for sure. Once they lost their juice in the late 70's, Buddy stayed with them for some time.
His paint scheme were kind of inverted Richard Petty schemes, at a glance. When Cale and Donnie crashed in the '79 Daytona 500 and the camera crew was trying to pick up Petty's car, they accidentally picked up Arrington's car. That's when Ken Squier started yelling "Petty's in turn 3" to tell the camera people where to look.
