Kurt Busch will henceforth be required to drive with one hand tied behind his back in ANY Nascar sanctioned race that includes ANY Earnhardt.(Possibly,Helton is thinking ahead to Kerry's eventual arrival on the circuit....but that is just speculation). :lol: :lol:

I take it you have not heard the other rule...

All driver's front bumpers are to stay at least 3 car lengths away from RALPH JR's rear bumper...but are expected to smile and be happy when RALPH JR's front bumper makes contact with their rear bumper.

Drivers are not allowed to pass RALPH JR.

If RALPH JR gets passed at a race, then the 8 car team gets to pick ANOTHER body template they don't have to be subjected to at the next race.
 
Actually,I am familiar with that rule Anybody But.Rumor has it that Brett Bodine refused to abide by the rule...in effect telling Nascar to 'screw off'.

Maybe just a rumor.....but where is Brett now?The skeptics are strangely silent when asked that question.And in fact,Buckshot Jones FLAGRANTLY violated that rule a couple of years ago......guess where Buckshot is?

Right.Out there with Brett.You folks do the math.
 
Also...I think that we are seeing Rusty Wallace in the very first phases of the very same punishment.

You guys make me sick...I mean sit back and relax. Just watch the races and stop complaining. Over seas, troops have a lot more to complain about. We should just be happy with what we get from Nascar.

Rusty has ALREADY been given the talk....his wings will be clipped soon.Junior bumping Rusty to get his lap back was just a test to see if Wallace had learned his lesson.NASCAR was watching closely,you can bet on that.

My mistake, your right...checking NASCAR's (ahem) "rule" book now and I see that penciled in at the bottom here...
 
Not to add anything to the rumors but remember it was Harvick that took out Lil'E last year. Actually, Lil'E just couldn't drive and drove into Harvick when Harvick's tire went down. But, still that one move put Harvick, who in his innaguaral year could pass anything, including the F15s that did the flyovers, to the back of the field until just recently. Shawna took out Lil'E. Actually, there again he couldn't seem to negotiate his way around her where the other drivers had very little problem. And, where is she? Trucks? Maybe? It would be interesting for someone to look at where driver's end up after crossing paths with Lil'E. Conspiracy? Nah, it could never happen in NASCAR. They have to many rules and safeguards. Or, do they?

Just making a point of how I feel in regards to "Jr is Nascar's posterboy" being overblown hype. I should have noted the sarcasm.
 
robby and junior and the bristol incident.

robby got a yearlong probation.

junior didnt get anything.

yes robby was the blunt of the problem, but either way both were at fault.


By the way, why the hell is Junior on the front page of nascar.com? What the heck did he do? No word on PE's good runs, Rusty running out of fuel and coming home to finish 3rd, Kurt Busch's win at least from Christ's sake.

Remember, DW said they wouldn't make the call at 'Dega due to his popularity. Look at all of the face time he gets on all of the NASCAR shows. Not, just the race. I'm truly expecting NASCAR to commission NASA to send up a shuttle to paint his likeness on the moon so we can gaze at it.

I do have 1 ? tho. Since JG separated he is constantly being seen in the company of a woman. For the past several months, the same woman, Penny whatever. Rumor is before he and Brooke separated-thus the video she has. And, yet he's gay. But, Lil'E, who is never seen with a woman. Nothing in video, print, rumor or whatever is straight. (And, no the commercials don't count). Despite the fact that he hangs out with all guys. And, Pamela Lee doesn't count. She's Kid's old lady and he is a Kid groupie. And, 2 she has Hepatitis so she can't do anything anyway. So by that, women at your beck and call 24-7 and you are gay, but hang with the guys 24-7 and you are straight. I must be missing something. <_<

Did you catch yesterday how Fox kept saying...since we are following JR. and at one point they were making a big deal of him being 20th, I was like huh? Who really cares? What about Sterling Marlin he started in the back and was running 5th at the time. It is beyond obvious now who Nascar's Posterboy is.

I'm sure Jr has some sort of skill as a race car driver. But he has not done anything...and I mean anything...to deserve all the air time and all the hype that he is getting.
 
Do you think that Budwieser may have something to do with that? I mean it is all marketing, Bud pays for all of the those commercials.

It wasn't funny to me when Harvick got the call. It hasn't been funny since it has turned into the Lil'E Show since about mid last year. As far as where he is in points, there are still a few more races yet to be run.

You want to talk about crybabies, let's look at your Precious. He's crying because Teresa won't give him the business, or even a larger share. She knows what a ----wad he is. Thus is born his Busch team. To see if he can handle the responsibilities. I thouhgt it was real telling last year when he told Mikey that he needed to step up when Mikey was ahead of him. That's real leadership by example. And, remember, it was none other than Park and Mikey that were talking about how he blows off the mandatory team meetings because he can't get out of bed until noon. That sounds like a real responsible person that needs to be in charge of DEI. Come to think of it. Yeah, Teresa, give him total control. He's ready. Nothing would make me happier. Except some Mo Ron would hire him because of the sponsorship money attached. And, poor ol' Mikey and Steve would be looking for a ride.

The real shame is there are a lot of Mo Rons in the audience who can't get enough of Lil'E and don't realize that there are other drivers who deserve a little bit of time themselves. I believe that there are those who would buy bottles that Lil'E whiffed in just to say they had a part of his greatness. :cuckoo:
 
Well, I have never called him the greatest driver, I have never said he was a championship contender, I do drink Budwieser if that counts (maybe I need to change before I'm called a MO RON) and I do like his attitude. All of that was last season, I don't recall hearing any of what you are saying this season. Alot can happen in a year, all I have heard this year is a new determination and big picture racing. Do ya'll remember being young and not having anything to do? It was hard when the time came to grow up and become responsible. Give him a break, I see a different JR this year. Lets not pass judgement so early in the season. :dual9mm: :cuckoo:

Hmm...no. Maybe this is what NASCAR wants. Another Earnhardt up front. And they'll do anything to have him up front (mystery cautions, letting certain rules slide, etc...).
 
But, don't you think that this impression that a lot, and I mean a lot, of people have of him being forced down our throats is doing him more harm than good. If people are going to take him serious then he needs to step away from the spotlight and let his driving do the talking. Remember last year when the media was so tuned in to Jimmie Johnson that everyone wanted to barf. This is all that, only magnified. I know, you are going to say that he has no control of the media. That is true to a point. But, he could make his feelings known. Others, (read Teresa, who is a very sharp marketing person), could put the spotlight elsewhere. There are other stories to be told. Yet we are spoon fed the Lil'E 4 hour show every week. Isn't this exactly how Gordon got so hated? Except, of course, he was actually winning a lot of races. Fox and all need to give it a break. Give us a break. Cover the race. Cover the drivers. Cover what ever the story is. Don't break down Lil'E's life so everyone knows what kind of TP the man prefers. Moderation is the key to most things in life. :mellow:

May not agree with you at times but I completely agree with this statement.

As much as I want to blame Junior for this :P I cant, nobody can, you have the blame Nascar, the TV networks, and some (not all) but some of his fans that only like him for his looks and popularity and the fact that he was on MTV. blah
 
Weather we like it or not, it's marketing folks. The bottom line for Fox, NASCAR and the sponsors is all about the benjamins.
 
I'm just tired of watching the Jr. Show every Sunday. I blame Jr for it but I guess we should be blaming the networks and NASCAR. Never thought about that.

I respect you Bowtie...I would have lost my cool If someone down-sized Ward a couple months in a row, but you stay calm and still get your opinion out. B)
 
I was a nascar fan before I was a fan of any driver. I started watching racing in Louisiana when ABC Wide World of Sports showed only a few races each year. I had to watch 2 hours of KUNG-FU theatre :bleh: with my roommate before I could watch the races. I became an Earnhardt fan because of his driving style and never say die attitude. Only after he died did I have to make decision, either quit watching the sport I love so dearly or find someone to root for. MY decision was easy, I decided to pull for most all BOWTIES, but I think JR was an easy choice because he lives the lifestyle I think all of us wish to have. I just don't like being called names because of my favorite driver over a internet forum when most of you wouldn't call me the same name in person. I don't call 97 names just because he pulls for a pinhead :unsure: , I wouldn't call Jeff Gordon fans names because they pull for a sissy :o . Do you see where I am going with this?

I agree. After Sr. died, I didn't know if I could have a favorite driver and I guess I don't have that ONE guy like with Sr. I have migrated towards Jr and Newman. Yes I choose Jr because I was a fan of Sr. but partly because of how well I feel he has handled the whole ordeal. It is not his fault that everything nascar has become Jr. I am sure he wants some privacy. And I have never heard anything that he wanted Theresa to give him the company. As a 28 year old I am sure he is not ready for that responsibility. Plus how many owner/drivers are there in NASCAR (Must be a Bodine).

I am starting to understand some of your points of view. I compare it to Shaq. He gets all kinds of favoritism calls. Plus the NBA changed the rules of the playoff in the middle of the season. Extending the first round to help the lakers win. :bleh:
 
Ever sence Dale sr. died. Nascar has been trying to put someone out front to be the face of Nascar. Dale Jr. just had the right last name. I don't think he controls Nascar and the media. :wacko:
 
All i can say is all you people that cry about the "Jr mass media blitz".......change the station , watch something else if you don't like it. I still watch it ....yeh it gets a little tiresome sometimes....but i watch it for the sake of watching racing. I saw some great racing sunday....3-4 wide going in and out of the corners. Turn MRN on if you don't like Fox, or go to your local track and watch racing . Stop crying about it, everyone loves to" hate " a certain driver. In my case 10 years ago it was Dale Sr., but i still respected the man for what he was, a great racer! In Jr.s' case he hasn't become great yet, but his focus is much better this year that is for sure. He has a good car most weeks also, it is up to him how much he wants the championship, not Nascar. Personally i think that J. Gordon, The Rousch Gang, and about 8 other drivers will have a lot to say about who wins the Cup. :D
 
I don't think anyone is saying that NASCAR is planning to outright "give" Junior the title. It's just that they are doing whatever they can when the opportunity arises to slant the odds in his favor. I still feel very strongly that Jeff Gordon is the most likely to win it this year. Much more experience in handling the pressure of a points race than any of the other contenders. I just wish that NASCAR wasn't so biased in their application of the rules where Junior is concerned. Plain and simple.

There is no way around the facts. Its pretty much out there this year. All these gray rules are pretty much riding the short bus. The fat cats love being able to have an influence in the outcome. I have heard that they wanted Mark Martin to win last year, so I don't know what the points deduction was last year, mabey they changed their minds, but either way Tony got it. So to me the way its lookin is that 4x will have to change his name to 5x.
