That's what happens when Kyle Busch decides to run in the Nationwide Series for a Cup team. KBM's sponsors bailed and followed Kyle to Gibbs instead of sponsoring drivers who had no chance of winning races in the Kyle and Keselowski Series.

The Nationwide Series sucks.

So slice is Kyle a quitter too? He couldn't even win in his own equipment and is now packing it in. :D
 
Wow, this really sucks. You can hate Kyle Bush all you want, but he was doing more than most drivers to give young stars a chance. Erik Jones won his first Truck race in a KBM truck this year. He got a ride from Kyle when he beat him in the Snowball Derby and Kyle signed him.

However, Kyle should know that today's NASCAR is only for the super rich. He should have asked Mikey.

Not sure what he was expecting when Kligerman gets the hand-me-downs that Kyle couldn't succeed in last year.

I'm not the biggest Kyle Busch fan, but this sucks. Not for the only for the people who have lost their jobs, but for the sport. He was fielding competitive teams and giving young drivers a shot at the big leagues....what the NCWTS and NNS should be. It amazes me that people will defend S&P's who take millions of dollars without putting anything in to the sport and employing nobody and celebrate when a team putting competitive cars on track and employing 100's closing:confused:

I hate seeing any employees lose theirs job, but it costs a lot of money to run a motorsports team. It is very hard in this economy to land and then keep a major sponsor for a racing team. It costs an astonishing amount of money to keep a racing team on the road in this day and age after you factor in all the traveling expenses. I just got back yesterday from driving a race car hauler from the shop in Chicago to a race in Pomona Ca, and back to Chicago, and it cost around $4,000.00 in fuel for 1 hauler. If Andy and a lot of others on here have a problem with the screwed up tv packages these days, can you imagine what the sponsors feel about them. I think a lot of sponsors just doesn't feel they can justify spending the amount of money it costs to operate a racing team for the type of tv coverage they are getting. I think they just pulled Alex Bowman out of the line up for the last Nationwide race because of sponsorship problems. Even in other racing series there are sponsorship problems, at the end of 2014 even John Force is losing his two major sponsors Ford and Castrol that he has had for as long as i can remember. It is a little scary when a team like JFR loses major sponsors.

That is a very good question, Johali, and i'm curious to know that answer myself. But, i haven't heard what Ford or Castro has planned for the future. I do know that they are not going to be with any nitro teams after 2014. Ford has also dropped Bob Tasca racing after the 2014 season, and they own one of the largest Ford dealerships on the east coast.

Doesn't sound good but maybe they are just reorganizing and will stay in the sport, I hope so.

Yes I am a fan , and I do like the product Nascar puts out . It is far superior to anything else on tv or I would watch something else . And for that reason , I 'm obviously not your "bro" .
 
I think sponsors see the writing on the wall, that they are wasting money in Nascar and NHRA, look what Dodge did and that was after winning a championship with Kes. Profit margins are hard to come by in this economy, sponsors look at what that exposure is getting them at the track and I think for some it isn't worth the effort. Does putting Ford on the side of a car sell more cars come monday at the dealer ships? I doubt it is significant any more or they would stay in NHRA.
