NASCAR for continuing to race at that god awful track with like 30,000 people showing up and tons of tarped off seats. Bring back Rockingham!

Brad Keselowski, speeding.

Darian WHO.

Keselowski, way to many pit issues for him this weekend including his 2 yesterday. And speaking of pit road, that call on the 24 pissed me off. Next time I just hope the guy falls before crossing the white line

All of the injuries suffered were self-inflicted injuries, so I find it hard to determine a Bonehead for the CUP race at Fontucky.

However, I do tend to agree with NN that the mothereffen pit crew on the mothereffen 54 car during the mothereffen Nationwide Race on Saturday deserves the mothereffen award!

It puzzled me too. I remember Kyle actually driving out of his pit with a guy with the gun on his hood. They said the crew member maintained control of the equiptment, so no penalty.

Andy

A million tears over Ice Skating, Golf, Fox sucks x 1000, calling Karma on Jimmie and Chad, then crying over their good luck......

It never ends, then having the nerve to start a bone head thread.... priceless.

Got a bandanna on over there, internet tough guy?

I didn't say a thing about ice skating.

The bonehead of the race is Alan Gustafson for allowing one of The Three Stooges to act as Gas man for the 24 pit crew. Wiped out a certain top 3 finish.

Twinkleberry is someone that thought this race rated a 9.

Well then, I guess that I am a twinkleberry too! I effen loved today's race!

I KNOW that Andy is...

Honestly, I do not comprehend what some people consider GOOD racing or BAD racing...
I like SPEED! I like multiple grooves. I like stategy calls. I like a sense of urgency.

I like what today's race brought. So be it...

I liked Tony's slide jobs today, he may have pissed them off but he completed the pass clean.

On the flipside, the 48 should get the lucky bonehead award because there was talk about getting the 48 off of the track because of the "oil smoke" issue. Shad and Yimmie dodged a bullet.

Roger Penske, for ever thinking this track was a good idea.

Hands down, it has to be either Hamlin or Grubb or a combination of both. Throwing away what, 9 points on that move at the end of the race? What the heck weather forecast were they watching on that pit box? Maybe Denny needs to start carrying his cellphone in his car ala Keselowski because they make an app for that.

We have a built-in app for that. It's called looking at the sky.

Sad to say, the impending rain made the race tolerable. The only hard racing I saw was from Tony, and one guy doesn't make a race. This is the kind of racing that brought 'push to pass' to F1.

I thought it was a no brainer call by Grubb. Denny couldn't beat Tony, and Grubb rolled the dice to get the win instead of going for the sure 2nd. It cost me 25 points, but I like his win or nothing attitude. This is what the regular season should be for a driver who will have no problem making the top 10 in the chase. Those 9 points wont mean sheet to Denny, but 3 chase bonus points would mean a lot.

This is exactly the kind of call that helped Tony win at Homestead.

Speaking of Tony. Let's face it, he's now qualified for the Chase. It will be 'no holds barred' from here on out. He's got nothing to lose. It has to be a good time to be a Tony fan.

That's what I'm thinking. Tony needs to be careful not to go too far and being too agressive. I like that Grubb was thinking this way 5 races in.

I agree on Tony but I'll agree to disagree on Grubb/Hamlin. As I was watching it unfold I could help but think WTF. As I think back on it I still feel the same. He was right up front with the big boys. I know Grubb is no meteorologist but come on.

Grubb faced reality. Denny got to Tony, and Tony just drove away. Denny could not win without getting the advantage of new tires. Grubb said he saw a small opening on his radar. Denny on new tires would finally be faster than Tony. He gave up 9 points for a chance to blow right by a bunch of cars and get the win. IMO, that's a bargain. Hopefully, others will follow his lead and racing for wins will be back.

dpk, I guess I'm wondering why you feel 2nd, or the 9 points, are important right now? Maybe I'm missing something.

I don't think that second is good for anything. I just don't understand throwing away a decent day. There wasn't a chance in heck they were going to get back on the track. It was to rain the rest of the day and everyone knew that. He could have had all of the little windows that he wanted but there was never going to be enough time to get a window big enough to dry the track. That the kind of move you make if you're a backmarker in that race, not someone fighting for the win. If he really felt that they were going green again, make the right call, fix that car and beat him on the track. JMO

OK. I think Grubb was thinking about how hard nascar worked to finish the 500. If I remember correctly, it was just a sprinkle when Denny came in. If it stopped, they wouldn't even need to dry the track, and Denny wouldn't need more than 3 laps to get in front. 1% chance of getting the win is a go for broke attitude. I just hope Denny is totally on board and doesn't get down about falling in the standings.

How cool would it be to watch a few guys take HUGE risks and get some DNF's and a couple of wins? Until nascar gives points for winning the regular season, getting a couple of extra wins and making the top 10 by one point is what I would aim for.

2 different, and valid, strategies.
