California Race Thread

just watched the end on NOL, good job by harvick to be his usual self, and hold back until a few laps to go...then give a good old shove-draft to get the win.

A few thoughts:

Am I the only one who gets annoyed when FOX shows a replay of someone scraping the wall or getting loose - while live racing is still going on the racetrack? FOX spent almost 40 secs showing Trevor Bayne hitting the wall on lap 4 while leaders were battling it out. Drives me crazy. Give me a side by side shot of the replay and live racing. Thank you.

Hype it up, hype it up. DW was saying early in the race how drivers just don't ride around and continued, "look at Kevin Harvick coming out of turn two at 200 mph! You're gonna tell me these guys are just riding it out?" Cue the FOX rpm and mph odometer right on schedule displaying to us all that KH was comimg off the turn at 149 mph. Lol.

Anyone notice Carl Edwards rear bumper? It said "Now Hiring". As some of you know, Aflec (Edward's sponsor) is looking for a new voice for it's duck to replace Gilbert Gottfried, who made wisecracks about the Japan quake.

Great finish to an otherwise lackluster race. They call California the Golden state. But after today's race, not everything that glitters is gold.

btw I'm as big of Tony fan as there is out there but I don't believe I recall seeing anyone post about how he stormed off after the race and wouldn't do an interview.

Now if that was Kyle a lot of people would have been all over him about it.

Just saying.

Other than not winning, what was he so mad about? It's not like he had the dominant car all day. And btw, I'm a Stewart fan as well.

Yes, alot of people would've and Stewart took his share of guff over that until Gibbs changed things.

No matter who it is, I only see one reason in going after a 13th place driver before talking to the first 1, 2, 3 etc.

As for Busch, I'd much rather see him storm off than listen to him.

Yeah, the media was looking for a reaction from Tony, after listening to his in-car.

And, yes, I completely agree, it's alot more pleasant watching Kyle storm off , than to hear his arrogance.

But weren't you one of the ones *****ing about him storming off? Can't have it both ways..

The other side of that coin is that if he's whining, he ain't winning.
So yes, I think I will have it both ways, thank you.....:D
