Can NASCAR race in the cold?

I had a 1963 Corvair Monza Spyder and it was an air cooled engine like a VW except it had 6 cylinders. The engine was rear mounted as well.

Ralph Nader said they were "Dangerous at any Speed" but I was fortunate with mine that I never hit anything and thank goodness nothing hit me. I had my 63 for about 5 years and the only thing I really didn't like about the car was the 4 wheel drum brakes. I swear after about 2 seconds on the brake pedal you thought you were speeding up lol.
