Apparently Casey Atwood will have to wait another week or two to find out if he has a WC ride in the Evernham camp next season.

From the "Tennessean"

Nashville racer Casey Atwood won't learn his fate with Evernham Motorsports until after Thanksgiving, Atwood's father said yesterday.

Atwood, 22, has one year left on his three-year contract with Ray Evernham. Atwood drove the No. 7 Dodge most of this season under a partnership between Evernham and Jim Smith, but Evernham terminated that partnership after Smith replaced Atwood with Jason Leffler with two races to go.

''Ray told Casey he wanted to wait until after Thanksgiving, then they'll get together,'' Casey's father, Terry Atwood, said yesterday. ''Right now, Casey doesn't know a thing.''

Attempts to contact Atwood yesterday were unsuccessful.

Man forget this Evernham. He is going to drag Atwood even farther down.

Wants to meet after the holiday. Can't be good news for Atwood.

Evernham really knows how to bring holiday cheer (or is it jeer).

Well it's after Thanksgiving so wonder when Ray will try to distroy the rest of Casey's career.
