Charlotte Pre Race Thread

From NASCAR.com's Live Leaderboard

Dale Earnhardt Jr. will be making his 500th start in NASCAR's top series tonight. Other milestone starts: Casey Mears will hit No. 375 tonight and Paul Menard will post start No. 250.

Stupid local ABC affiliate here is still talking about the Wisconsin Badgers even though they won a blowout against Northwestern 45 minutes ago. I guess they're going to the race right when the green flag drops.

Ken Seth never does good when he qualifies poorly. I would have picked him to do well tonight but 20th place, bleh. Looks like my personal hopes are in my other favorite guy Harve Vick.

The Uniformed Health Service has a color guard? You learn something new every day.

For what ever reason I have got to where I hate Kyle Busch these days.

Great pics DP.

I can't watch this as today in AUS this is the Bathurst weekend. Big weekend for us and a gret race to watch if you guys can record it.

Charlotte for us will be shown maybe tomorrow.

Enjoy the race guys and ave a good night.
Awesome race you guys had.

I second that Leroy 17 they put on a good show of it at Bathurst, the best race of the weekend IMO, good hard racing. Love those road courses.

O.K, I am biast... but the Bathurst track is the best road course in the world. Nurburgring is also awesome.... however at 20+ klms a lap.... its a little long if your watching for race battles.

One thing that the camera cant realy capture is the elevation changes..... going up and down the mountain... its a rush.

Good to see you guys watching it and enjoying it.... the last 30 laps or so were the money.... so close because of being competitave... not because of a caution. However the cautions at the end is what made Charlotte interesting.

Next V8 Supercar race is in a few weeks in my home town, Gold Coast. Its a street course and if you get to watch it over there... should be good viewing.

Enjoy.

Leroy the camera work was fantastic IMO..they did a great job of putting the cameras in places to show the ups and downs. I have watched that race quite a few times, and this time had the best camera work I thought. That track is scary dangerous if somebody breaks something going into the dip it isn't going to be pretty. I love good road races. I am not a great fan of street courses, most of them are too narrow and they limit the speeds. Bathurst is spectacular.

The last 30 laps were the most I could ever ask for in an auto race. The battles between 1-2 and 3-6 were spectacular. No commercials, no aero-this or aero-that, no drivers pussyfooting around, no pack-'em-up caution period. Too bad V8 Supercars basically got dropped by FS1.

oh please lets not talk about the fantastic fox. they are getting their butts handed to them on a plate though, but they sure screwed up the racing coverage. Thanks for the stream again FL, I couldn't figure out what time it came on, kept logging in and getting nothing..finally gave up. Glad I caught what I did.
