Charlotte RACE thread

How many times has Kasey Kahne been dumped this year? At some point, you have to make it known that you're going to stand up for yourself - otherwise people will keep taking advantage of you. Kahne's one of the most talented drivers in NASCAR, if not the most talented, but his "nice guy" attitude is why he will never win a championship just like Mark Martin.
Problem is, you don't know what good hard racing is when you are looking right at it.

Yeah like 'dega spring race 2011. Boo, RP two-car-tango, boo!

The boo part is that they took away the two car tangle so they can run in the wreck fest packs.

LOL at interviewing Dale jr. Never mind Kyle, Harvick & Gordon. Gotta get a word in from daddy's kid

Apparently the only time people don't complain about fake cautions is when they affect the 48 :p

Hey, that caution was bull**** and I stand by that.

The problem isn't the 48, the problem is the rest of the field not being able to match and pass them.

Johnson was dominating the larger portion of the race because for that moment, he had the best car out there.

All the whining and crying missed the 20 car having a heck of a night, actually gained points on his lead

Nascar is a scripted as WWE. The only thing different is that most teams aren't in on it like the wrestlers are.

While I thought the battle between Khane and Brad was great, I still say NASCAR should've let the race played out without the caution.

But as we've seen in the fallout of Richmond *coughGordoncough*, NASCAR is now in the business of manufacturing races.

I'm gonna be so tired in the morning when I have to get up for work, but I am so glad I stayed up for this. Those last 20 or so laps made it all worth it. That was a good, hard, clean battle between Kez and Kahne. I can't ask for much more out of a finish than that.

You work on Sundays? Ouch brother.

Bowyer managed an 11th place finish with only 7 thumpers. Kinda feel bad for anyone behind him...

I dont think Bowyer was down a cylinder. He would have dropped like a rock on that restart. He kept in touch and nursed it to an 11th.

I'm counting on Gordon getting max points and Kenseth, Harvick and Johnson wadding it up early at Dega..... I should just buy a lotto ticket instead.

Yup. Can't have a run to the end under green, especially when only the leader played the fuel-mileage strategy correctly.

i didn't know that in order to be a Gordon fan around here, I would have to blame everybody and everything for the whole race. My bud is a Gordon fan and he doesn't do that. They worked a strategy that kept putting him up front, but you guys were crying so much that ya kept missing it. comes in 7th on a track where his average finish is 16th and you are blaming the crew chief? Sorry dudes he can't work miracles..he did work half of one though.

'Twas a great race for HMS as a whole till it seems jr suffered a mech problem. No. denying that. As it gets later in the chase better results are needed. Plain & simple. Dega could be a wild card & Martinsville is always promising for Jeff.

Kez earned that win, no trickery or fuel mileage. It was an art form to me the way he worked his way past Kenseth and Kahne at 170 mph. Kahne and Kez showed why they are among the best in the world. Neither were who I was pulling for, but I know great racing when I see it. The 2 bunch needed a win, they had some really bad luck at the worst possible times, the Ford blew up and took him out of a chase shot, on and on.
