Charlotte RACE thread

I say Jr bite the bullet now and get behind Kasey and clean that grill.

This track sucks. They should shorten it to a half mile. And make it dirt.
And these announcers suck. What has Alan Bestwick ever won? And Jarrett, he's just in racing because of his dad.
Oh yeah then there's Princess Sparkle Pony. Let me rest my fingers for a minute first.
I think you covered all the bases.

Four tires for Gordon are starting to pay off..needs a long run though. Jr will probably blow it up..hate to say, bet it is getting hot.

Hey, who are you and why did you steal my posts?! ;)

Actually, Allen Bestwick's my favorite.

Anybody got an answer? The announcers aren't even gonna address it? Will NASCAR enforce it? If not, who will say it's only because it's Dale Jr? Anyone else and they'd penalize him?

It's legal.

This is the acceptable: Contact while racing for position; performance issues; drafting; pitting; tire management; fuel management; yielding to a faster car; alternative pit strategy; long fuel strategy; laying over, you lay over for one, you lay over for all, which is fairly common in our restart language when we get ready to go back to green.

These are some of the examples that we came up with that's unacceptable in hopes to help define the step we're taking:

Offering a position in exchange for favor or material benefit; offering material benefit in exchange for track position; directing a driver to give up a position to the benefit of another driver; intentionally causing a caution; causing a caution for the benefit of or determinant of another driver; intentionally wrecking a competitor; intentionally pitting, pulling into the garage to gain advantage for another competitor.

Is it within the rules because Hendrick gave 100% in operating team orders to alter the natural order of the race?

OK, you've covered all the bases. Now, let's stick to the race --- please.
If you wish to wander off the race, there is a thread in the Podium.

They may as well ignore it. It's a silly rule that is gonna be next to impossible to enforce anyway.

Race Manipulation!!!!!!!!!!! I am calling Time Warner Cable and canceling my service in protest right now!

Doing whatever you need to in order to clear that grill is giving 100%. Ignoring it untill the engine melts is not.

On a serious note, I'm very disappointed with Kasey Kahne so far in this year's Chase. I really thought he would be a threat for the title because he is more than capable of going on a hot streak. Good to see him leading though, even if he had to cheat to do it. :)
