It is going to be a great day in Chitown with clear skies and cool, dry temperatures. I may just drive up Sunday and grab some tickets at the gate.

Going out early us an advantage due to cooler track temps so several teams chose to not lay down full bore qualifying lap. They lift on the straight heading to the line but are still able up glean good info.
 
I have been so busy that I didn't realize that the Nascar race was in Joliet this weekend, and I just flew home from Chicago yesterday.:(

I had just spent three weeks at the US Nationals in Indy, and since we decided to sit this weekends Charlotte race out then I took the hauler back to the shop in Chicago. If I had been paying more attention then I could have went to the Joliet race, and I wouldn't even have had to rent a car or purchase any hotel rooms. Oh well, my fault. I could go watch the Indy cars race at Fontana today, but I don't feel like sitting in 107 deg heat. Besides there is a lot of racing on tv this weekend.:)
 
Danica...she just does not want the car to slide at all. I understand that she wants to be cautious but she's so timid that she doesn't give herself a chance to put down a decent lap.

Danica could really improve her stock car skills if she'd run some dirt sprint car races. An open wheel background is not conducive to stock car success. She needs to get used to sideways. JMO.
