Chicagoland weather outlook

Today, there was a 30% chance of rain. It rained. NASCAR waited 5 hours until the radar showed clear skies were just 10 minutes away.

NASCAR reschedules race for 11 AM central, when the chance of rain is 30%.

Brilliant plan.

Race is tomorrow @ noon ET.

BTW, the Primtime Emmy Awards are on..J/K :D
 
Wow this is going to work pretty good for me. Nhra in 20 minutes, and then the Emmys, and then Nascar tomorrow. I'm out of here.

The GEICO 400 at Chicagoland Speedway has been delayed by rain until Monday, September 19, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. Central Time/Noon Eastern Time. It will be aired live on ESPN, MRN Radio and SiriusXM NASCAR Radio Channel 90.

It would eliminate the need for jet dryers, basically when it rains you pull covers installed under the walls that pull down across the track. They retract when the rain stops thus letting you get right back on the track. Also its easier then building a giant roof.

I know. I was just making a joke about how nascar seems to screw things up.
 
Well someone was not going to be able to watch the race today. And due to good karma will be able to watch the race tomorrow. **** happens

From the NWS

Today...Cloudy until afternoon then becoming partly sunny. Showers during the predawn hours...then a chance of showers in the morning. Highs in the lower 70s. Light and variable winds early in the morning becoming northwest 10 to 15 mph in the late morning and afternoon. Chance of precipitation 90 percent.

Tonight...Mostly clear. Patchy fog after midnight. Lows in the lower 50s. Light and variable winds.

this sounds like a great start for building a moat around the infield. i like moats. :) please incorporate into your design.

Not to change the thread topic but those are my Steelers you're talking about. I don't even think that we play the Giants this season but if we did, we'd kick their collective a$$es. :D OK, so Baltimore caught us on a bad day. We'll get over that one. :D

Thank God you're not a KC fan. They have a real reason to cry. My Lions sent them packing with their tails between their legs. 48-3 is very bad.
