That was a pretty chicken feces move by the 8 car.
Edwards was loose first, where was Jr going to go?BobbyFord said:That was a pretty chicken feces move by the 8 car.

N2racin88 said:Regardless Carl should not have ran into the side of Juniors car. If his hand would have been 6 inches farther out of the car he would have got hurt. Junior could have lifted. He blipped the throttle but by that time Carl had started to get even more sideways and then Junior finished him off.
Bucky Badger said:It was a congratulatory tap...it happens from time to time. Mabey Jr should keep his hands on the wheel.
Mopardh9 said:If Junior lifted= no win, not lifting he gets the win. IMO the move was not intentional, i'm not a Jr fan by any means, but Jr. does own up to his mistakes, this time he said Edwards was loose which was clearly evident by the replay. Edwards shouldn't of ran up to Jr after the race and hit him, very immature, and could of caused more harm than just pissing off Jr. All this WWE stuff in Nascar is getting out of hand, what happened to just racing, settling it like men later over a few beers or punches, and moving on???
DennyHamlinFan11 said:Edwards is an idiot who is driving over his head. He's putting his car in places it don't belong. It's not JR's job to lift to save his ass and that move under yellow was bonehead, second time he's done that under yellow( tony a couple weeks ago)
Carl is turning into an over aggressive driver with a I'm holy'er than thou attitude, and that's sad.

Evedently out front IS where he didn't belong because you saw the result. Dont't insult me by thinking I'm A newbie at NASCAR viewing.BobbyFord said:Where exactly was Carl's car when he had it where it didn't belong??? Out front?
I don't know which race you were watching today or how long you've been watching races but Edwards is certainly not driving over his head.
And yes, it is Jr's job to lift out of his throttle to avoid causing a wreck.
Which was a more bonehead move the one by Jr. at 185 MPH or the one by Edwards at 35 MPH?

Actually from what I heard, he was in the pits today.N2racin88 said:Mark McFarland is probably weeping in a corner right about now.

depends how you get there.Professur said:Isn't the point of the race to get to the finish line ahead of the other guy?
Might be according to you, but for the most part, the guy who crosses the finish line first wins. If you want to cry and whine that someone got taken out, go to the end of the line. It's pretty long as this has been going on since the sport started. If NASCAR believes that Jr was a tad bit overly aggressive, they might penalize him, but I wouldn't hold my breath for that.Bucky Badger said:depends how you get there.

Finally some one sees it like i did, Edwards was loose i don't know why some people can't see that. Was Jr. supposed to slow down and play dead? No he was going for the win, so he stayed in the throttle. Edwards is pressing to get into the chase and it is showing in his Busch driving too. Edwards can drive, but he needs to know when he is wrong and admit it.This Buds For Me said:i guess it doesnt really matter that the 60 car was loose comming out of the corner and was going around wheter JR hit him or not.
i for one would have gotten out of that car and knocked the crap out of carl edwards.....good thing he didnt hit Jr's hand when it was hanging out the window of the car.
classes act on Edwards move.

You know what maybe we should all not make such a big deal about racing incidents like most of us seem to do. I am guilty of that for sure, but in this case it was a racing incident, not an intentional bump out of the way. Of course that is my opinion, which many of you here disagree with, it wouldn't be any fun to come on here and post if you all agreed with me...lolBucky Badger said:Just for clarifacation, you are saying it's ok to slam into someone because they are loose infront of you? The slammer has no duty to make an effort not to slam into the front guy?
