Chicken Feces

If you have a better car - pass him.

Man, people get upset when there's a negative comment made about golden boy.

I don't know why people go on and on and on. This kind of thing has happened before and will happen again. Racing is not a parade.

You know what maybe we should all not make such a big deal about racing incidents like most of us seem to do. I am guilty of that for sure, but in this case it was a racing incident, not an intentional bump out of the way. Of course that is my opinion, which many of you here disagree with, it wouldn't be any fun to come on here and post if you all agreed with me...lol :beerbang:

You're right it wouldn't be fun without the debate.

Dam when this happend I said to myself "there's gonna be 10 pages of haters of the board about this, you guys are slippin, now for my 2 cents. For one thing Jr. did not SLAM into carl and if he would of lifted he would of lost 2nd and 3rd and robbby might of done worse to get the win and the real chicken feces move was carl slamming into Jr. at the end, he could of took his hand off, if carl so big and bad he should of waited in victory lane for him.

OK I stand corrected Carl did go to victory lane and confront JR. and JR. had a smile on his face when the started but it was pretty straight faced when it was over and jimmy spencer and kenny wallace both said you don't lift when you have a chance for the win and kenny said again he would of done the same thing, Jr did nothing wrong.

What the hell would Jimmy Spencer and Kenny Wallace know about racing for the win?????

From NASCAR.com...

Earnhardt slammed into the rear end of Edwards' No. 60 Ford, sending him spinning down the track and nearly taking Gordon with him. That brought out the ninth and final caution of the day, freezing the field and giving two-time Busch champion Earnhardt his second Busch win in four starts this season and the 22nd of his career.

I would of done the same thing JR did, Even if he hit the brakes he still would of spun. Edwards needs to be fined for pulling that days of thunder crap.

once again if u watched the race Jr. DID NOT slam into edwards piss on what NASCAR.com says and I think jimmy and kenny has a ton of experience in racing so I'll take their word before yours.

hehe kenny has a ton of expirience on getting lapped you mean. and as far as jimmy spencer..dont you talk about it..he was like the biggest dirty racer in his days...so of course he would agreed with dale jr doing what he did.

Just for S&Gs someone go back to the thread where Jeff spun Matt going for the win. Look at the poster's opinions then and now. Pretty much the same situation - Jeff was going for the win. Guys, what's changed???
Oh, the person in the seat is different. Gotcha... :)

Did I ever say winning experience? No, I said racing experience

So I guess them folks on NASCAR.com must be liars. :D

I'm thinkin' they might have a little more experience than you. :)

From NASCAR.com...

BROOKLYN, Mich. -- Dale Earnhardt Jr. began Sunday's Nextel Cup race at Michigan International Speedway with a lecture from NASCAR for wrecking Carl Edwards to win Saturday's Busch Series race and a chorus of boos from the crowd.

Dale Earnhardt Jr. said his meeting with NASCAR made a difference in his driving style.

Apparently Jr. finally saw the same light some of us did.

That move Jr did was the same move his dad did on sooo many occasions..there were no black flags then and there is no need for them now!! When your racing the last laps.. its all or nothing.. you just go for it!! Id say that even if it wasnt Jr.. so its not that Im a Jr fan.. Im a racing fan!!

But I am getting sick of Carls crying.. Tony wrecked me.. Jr wrecked me.. Everyones so mean to me!! Boo Hoo.. Get over it. I dont think they all sit around the garages and say who shall we wreck today.. i know lets get Carl again.. its so funny to see him cry..lmao

No...Gordons' was clearly intentional, Jrs' was not.

Slick is right, same exact situation. The main problem I had with Earnhardt's spin to win was the fact that he spun a Busch series regular that is racing for a championship, when he is not.

funny how we can all see the same wreck and come away with 2 different opions :)

Edwards wrecked Jr. two years ago during the chase at Atlanta.
Jr, (A Cup regular. Edwards running a limited schedule.) running for the championship, was going to inherit the points lead. edwards could have givin a little more room to Jr as Jr was trying to pull back in front of him.
Jr wrecked, Edwards didn't. All Edwards had to do was lift a little and there would have been no contact.

If you're gonna use the argument of Cup/Busch regular.......

So, chopping someone's nose off & getting wrecked = getting run over . Not even close to comparable wrecks, Imo .Junior came across Edward's nose when he wasn't clear & wrecked himself. Either way, I don't mind Junior, I think he's alright, just made a bad decision.

i think the point that he's trying to make is that in both incidents...both cars that were in front of the other both lost control and the car following them never gave them a chance to gather it back up.

you know whats its called...A RACING ACCIDENT....they race 3 times faster than we drive and drive closer than we park.

ITS GOING TO HAPPEN.

what can be prevented is being a jackass and hitting another car while the other drivers hand is hanging out the window.

That's was the point I was trying to make. Add to it that in both incidents, the car following was not a series regular.

Did I say they we're liars? NO Experience in writing stories maybe but in racing they have the same amount experience as I do. The man that wrote that story has never raced a car in his life.

Just my short .02 worth.............if Jr. had SLAMMED into the back of Carl's car, wouldn't his car have quite a bit of damage???? I didn't really see any, just like there wasn't much damage when Jeff Gordon SLAMMED into the back of Matt's car either. The MOST damage to Jr's car was when Carl SLAMMED into the side after the race was over. :lurk:

here's my thought...what happend on the track was a racing accident...its going to happen...but there are a few things that really tick me off.

1. hitting another car on purpose on pit road...i cant stand that.
2. hitting another car during a caution knowing you could hurt another driver...Carl saw Jr's hand sitting outside the window..if he didnt...then he's blind...if Jr took Edwards out on purpose then i could maybe see some tapping under caution..but this generation of drivers think everytime they are involved in an accident that someone did it on purpose. I lost a ton of respect for Edwards when he nailed Jr's car under caution...i wonder how he would have felt if jr's hand had been crushed in between the cars.

to me...i dont really think Carl really had the right to cuss Jr out like he did in victory lane...there were mistakes made by both drivers...Carl got way loose and jr didnt back off...that wreck was just as much Carl's fault as it was Jrs.

Carl deserves to get his butt kicked for the way he let Jr know he wasnt happy with him...anytime that happens...i think the driver should have to go to the other drivers shop and fix the car....there are innocent crew members who have to fix the damage on Jr's car because of Edwards temper.

If Nascar.com says SLAMMED...it's good enough for me
