Only reason we aren't seeing more move up to Cup is because Cup is some sort of lifers club where Kasey Kahne, Clint Bowyer and Martin Truex hang around forever without producing the results they are capable of.

I think that this guy is going to be ready for Cup by next year but where's he going to go I think he is extremely talented and just as talented as any of the other Young Guns already in cup.

People bashing Truex, Bowyer, and Kahne like they’re the ones hogging good rides in this sport. Seems to me the former driver of the 10 was the one taking up space :p. Hell, Truex won the title, Bowyer finished 3rd at Atlanta, and Kahne won the Brickyard with a 18th place car last season and is running top 20 for a mid pack team.

What we have now, Brian likes. Sooner or later he will realize he can't force this down peoples throat. The fans ultimately will support what they want to see.

I believe the local track racing is where it is at now. Problem is we don't have any up here above the 49th parallel. :(
Totally agree, local tracks is where it's at, I'm lucky to be here in New England and have a ton of tracks available to me. Some of the best racing in the country with the modifieds around here.

Enjoy it! Short track racing for the most part in Florida sucks (except during Speedweeks). One of my biggest beefs is a short track running 5, 6 and 7 weekly divisions with car counts of 5 - 10 (at best) in each division. Even a few tracks I went to in NE last summer experienced this. I really enjoy the tracks that run a couple series with good car counts in each.

Most of the places i go like Stafford, Thompson, Waterford, and Seekonk have good car counts.

LOL y'all seriously dug up a three year old thread to discredit my opinion of a situation ("Lifers" in Cup) that has since changed?

Lmao. Welcome to the internet. More importantly, message boards. Gotta watch what you proclaim.

I've got screenshots ready to fire off at DaBiff for when Alex Bowman doesn't turn into the next JJ. He said to mark his works, so I took a photo of them :idunno:

I didn’t dig it up. Just happened to notice that post mentioning MTJ and had to poke a little fun ;)

I will say it’s not that cup spots are being held up, it’s the discrepancy in today’s NASCAR that makes only a few good cars in all honesty. I’d say of the field 24 cars belong to decent teams, so it’s kind of a wait and see thing to find the next spot.

He’s going to have growing pains as well, the jump in race distance and speed is staggering in my opinion. You go from not running more than 300 miles/laps in Xfinity to going 4-500 every week

Bell IMO is the best prospect driver in Nascar over Erik Jones, Chase Elliott, William Byron, Suarez etc......

Really feel he is going to be a multiple time cup champion he can just flat out drive!
