What needs to be pointed out is that Junyar didn't replace Kyle. Casey Mears replaced Kyle. Junyar replaced Mears in the dreaded, red headed stepchild #25 team at Hendricks. The team is jinxed. Even a number change cant change that. Kyle, though, could be a larger than life star if not for his nasty attiutde. Even brother Kurt has calmed down to the point he has become respectable.

As I've pointed out numerous times, Mears never showed any improvement when he left the "red headed stepchild #25 team".
 
Even when he was at his best, Junior was never the best driver in NASCAR. He's not who his father was, and that's why I like him as a driver. It's not easy living in the shadow of greatness. I'm sure Kyle Petty knows that Junior is going through.

NASCAR.com had a great article the other day about the Kyle vs. Dale fued. Kyle doesn't get why people don't like him when he's winning a lot of races. Apprently someone forgot to explain to him that winning isn't everything.

Before Junior, Bill Elliott won the Most Popular Driver award a record 16 times. Hell, the award is going to be named after Bill when he retires. It wasn't because he was the best driver, but rather because of his attitude. When he won, he didn't showboat, do snow angels, or any of that stuff. But more importantly when he lost, he didn't go storming off.

At the Food City 500 in Bristol, Kyle got Chevy's 600th win in NASCAR, and the first Impala win since Wendell Scott's historic win in 1963. And how does he respond to making history when he gets out of the car? By saying the COT sucks. Real classy.

But the best way to illistrate the difference between Dale and Kyle is the time when Junior drive the 5 car after Kyle crashed and left the track.

That's why people like Dale more than Kyle. Maybe if Kyle grew up like his brother did after moving to Penske, he would be more popluar.

Really? I must have missed that one. Did he actually leave the track like Kyle did while the team fixed the car?

That's kind of unusual behavior for Harvick. Yeah, he gets mad sometimes, but I don't think I've ever seen him pout or mouth off to his crew everytime he doesn't win like Kyle does.
 
When Harvick gets mad he don't run like a little baby. He will either go to the one he is mad at or he will tell the media.
 
I heard they were putting sponsor decals on Kyle's golfcart cause it's starting to get more airtime than his racecar:eek::eek:

And if Kyle went up to the driver and talked to them or talked to the media, the very same people would be whining.

Fact is, it's only a big deal because it's Kyle Busch. I didn't see anyone complaining when Clint Bowyer didn't talk to the media after wrecking a few weeks ago at Darlington. :rolleyes:
 
This is the last time Kyle approached another driver after a race and I guess he didn't like what he heard so he's decided to run this year. ;)

I thought Harvick looked like a whimp on this one. Montonya was ready to fight and Harvick only wanted to talk smack.
 
Harvick will only start something if his crew is right with him. He likes to pick on older men. My money would of been on Brad. :D
