College Football 2025

I was rooting for the Bulldogs. But it was a great game and I do like the Ole Miss team, and I will be rooting for them to win it all from this point forward.
I would also enjoy seeing them win it all to stick it to Lane Kiffin.

Kiffin is still whiny about not getting to coach them through playoffs in spite of dumping them for L$U. Seeing Ole Miss win without him is a great thing to watch and I hope it bothers him.

I think Indiana will be tough to beat; they just seem to be on a different level, and they are a great from-the-bottom-to-the-top story. Still, the same: anything can happen, and Ole Miss is a resilient, never-quit kind of team.

A well deserved MVP Award in the Rose Bowl game.

The most recent Rose Bowl MVP (January 1, 2026) was Indiana's offensive lineman Pat Coogan, who shared the honor with the entire Hoosiers offensive line for their dominant performance in the 38-3 win over Alabama, with D'Angelo Ponds also named Defensive MVP. It's a rare award for an offensive lineman, making Coogan the first since 1944 to win it.

I’m extra curious to see how Indiana does now because I was reading a few weeks ago about how Cignetti likes to keep contact at a minimum in his practices. It’s hard to go four weeks in between hitting and being hit in-game. Also disrupts offensive rhythm in particular going that long without game reps.

Couldn’t watch the game but I had read that Day also took over offensive playcalling duties from Hartline. That’s a big change to make at the most critical time of the season.

Cignetti is reinventing how to coach modern college football.
