Not a fan but a good win for a has been driver and team.

Junior, keep it up, I hope it was not a fluke. I hope after that drive no one will question your driving ability. Only one other name could pull off what you did in one lap, and you are named after him.

Congrats to Jamie MacMurray, as Benny Parsons used to say. I'm sure Benny was smiling from Heaven at the end of that race.

In the last 37 races, Jamie has 2 wins, Kenseth has 2 wins, Biffle and Edwards no wins. Guess Roush kept the right drivers.

It's great that Jamie won, but still not happy as to how Teresa ripped apart a company that Dale Sr. spent so many years making into a stand alone contender.

Congrats to Jamie! Good to see him do well with his new team!

You mean that ripped apart team that just won the Daytona 500? Yep, Teresa sure destroyed EGR.

A well deserved win by one of the nicest guys in the garage area.If this doesn't silence any critics than nothin will.Oh, and I picked him too.

Congrats to Jamie. Good to see emotion in the drivers. If Jr would drive all the time the way he drove the last couple of laps he would win more races, he drove his butt off.

Nice to see him win, this will resurect his career some what, he did awesome on that last restart and the Biff certainly helped him a lot. Junior like most of us knew, can really wheel a car.

congrats to jamie. :) for whatever reason he just never clicked at roush. glad to see him back with ganassi and hopefully a rejuvenated career. sure made a nice start at it. look at mark for an example of what leaving roush can do for you. <g> the guy actually seems happy and is a legitimate contender in every race.

Woo! Congrats Jamie Mac! Nice way to turn around getting kicked out from Roush!

It was a fluke win. What their team's average finishing position? How many wins amongst their current drivers? That's the bottom line. Any driver can win on a plate track, provided they can stay in the draft.

Actually, that is pretty close to the truth......In Nascar, the competition is so close among the top thirty drivers that any win could be considered a fluke win.Any driver will tell you that the stars have to alighn to get a win.Thats why they run the race and don't just hand the trophy to the richest team.

Rubbish..Ganassi was trying to save his own butt

Not so much. He at least had Montoya and Target behind them, at worst he would have been a one car team struggling for a top 20 spot. Maybe not run as well but still be in it. Bass Pro almost left after Truex went to MWR and weren't to keen on McMurray at first. Ganassi had a part in convincing Bass Pro about McMurray. What would DEI have done if Bass Pro left? Say hello to your new partner Joe Nemechek.

True enough, its just that when teams or businesses merge it usually is..... and certainly should be, mutually beneficial to both parties. Both teams had reasons to merge...just sayin' :)

I gotcha and I agree but I just feel that DEI had more to gain than Ganassi. At the same time Ganassi was not going to move forward until the deal. I can't help to wonder what DEI would have done if Bass Pro walked and thats why I believe that Teresa is doing and has done more harm than good.

DEI and Ganassi had equal amounts to gain or lose. When Aric Almirola takes over your marquee car you are in trouble. Ganassi was a Dodge affiliated team, and outside of Kurt Busch and Kasey Kahne no Dodge team has been worth a snot(including Ryan Newman's #12 team).

Martin Truex, while a good driver(I predict he will make the Chase this year), cant carry a team by himself and his future with DEI was in doubt. Ganassi couldnt support a team all on his own, especially if they stayed backed by Dodge.

Not a McMurray fan but Martin Truex Jr was one of my favorites when he drove that car & it was for Dale Sr's organization so I have to give my congrats as well to Mrs. Teresa & the rest of the team...

Couldn't have happenned to a nicer guy. I didn't even think of him being a contender or even in the top 10. A pleasent surprise. Rock On Jamie.:beerbang:

How about Juan Pablo Montoya making the Chase last year while Junyer finished 25th in points?

Congratulations Jamie! Couldn't have happened to a nicer guy. What a great way to stick it to Roush. LOL ;)
