Congratulations Jimmy Johnson

"Thanks"

Best current driver in nascar won. Also, congrats to Gordon and Jr. Both moved up considerably in the points, especially Gordon who is now within striking distance although a tough one.

Congrats to the #48 team. Well run race in what appeared to be the best car on the track today.

Jimmie gets no love around these parts. Only 7 congrats? C'mon people show some respect. :p
It's funny, because I like Jimmie and Chad, I really do (especially Chad). It's just hard to get excited when Jimmie wins, though, because he's supposed to win. I knew he would win at Dover last week when they announced that the next race would be there, and that wasn't exactly a bold prediction. It's much easier for me to root for and get excited about an underdog. Hence the following:
*reluctantly and monotonous*
Congratulations Jimmie...
Plus, I already congratulated him in the race thread. It ain't like he's gonna see any of our posts anyway. LOL.

Who was it that said "cheaters never prosper"?

They lied... :D

As Chad says....Jimmie is probably the best driver to come along in many years. He has it all.

All the Jimmie haters must really be in bad moods at this point, but wait, it will get worse for you when Jimmie wins number 7. :)

You know I used to hate JJ... now I have developed somewhat of a respect level. I don't really like him very much, he is a very bland, lifeless, boring person. But damn can he drive a race car. The records that man has set will be at the top of NASCAR for decades and most of them will stay his. I think he's won around 15% of the races he's run and has won about 25% of the chase races.... EVER! That's crazy!! I didn't realize that until yesterday and while I still do not like JJ very much I have definitely developed a respect for him and what he has done in this sport. However I still don't like to see him win lol... but who wants to see anyone dominate when its not their driver? Right?

Great job by JJ, HMS served notice in this race. They won't be going down without a fight. Looks like it's shaping up to be a great battle for the championship.

is jimmie too bland to even get booed at driver intros? just wondering.

congrats jimmie.

yuck....that left a terrible taste in my mouth!:D

Not happening, he still hasn't won #6 yet, so don't count your chickens before they hatch!

Congratulations Jimmy. With long green flag racing you can't give Chad credit for this one, the pit crew did what was needed and didn't screw it up.

Exactly. Hendrick may have had the superior equipment, but when it came down to the end, the top two were racing with essentially identical cars (except Jimmie had older tires) and Jimmie still drove away.

he got to get six first, then we can talk about seven.

Short of injury, chase re-format, 7 will happen....eventually.

Jimmie has done pretty much all there is to do and he still has time on his side. So yes, 7 championships is very likely.

I enjoyed Jimmie winning, especially knowing how much it bothers the haters. I just was trying to respect the grieving by keeping quite and classy, besides it isn't the first time Jimmie has scarred up their innards.

But again I respect those who are so painfully afflicted and feel like Jimmie was meanie for whipping their favorite driver so badly and for so long, truly a long time, like for the five long long years (aka known as FIVE TIME) when Jimmie was winning and as result insuring that driver wasnt winnig the championship(s).

However being a good poster, I find it necessary to answer the question about how Jimmie has won more chase races, than most of them have won in their entire careers (and the five time, consecutive titles x 5, if I forgot to mention them).

Hopefully the haters will find peace and overcome Jimmies dominance of the sport they love so much.
Godspeed to all the inferiors.

Yeh yeh yeh....I get it kind of like me with the Pats, all those years since 2001 of winning, you get used to it, spoiled and expect it to continue. JJ is a great driver, but I still don't like him and never will, and I always will cheer on any other driver as long as it isn't him.:D

Ya Jimmie! Nice to see him kick ass. Cmon, win your 6th! Or Kyle can can it, either is fine with me ;)
