Could the Chase come to the Nationwide Series soon?

I get that. But that's a fan's perspective.
My comments were about what the NW drivers themselves are saying, and about how they may feel about racing Cup regulars in the NW series.

Like I said, I'm just looking at it in a different way I guess.
What you are referring to is the corporate speak they spew out for the cameras and microphones, what they really think is a lot different indeed according to what I've been told by a couple of them that will remain anonymous due to posters on here looking for any excuse to rip a driver or owner to shreds.

Yep. It's nice to race against the Cup guys on occasion but the way they run every race has been a source of frustration for some time.

NASCAR needs to make it hard for the Cup guys - run standalone Nationwide races at Hickory when Cup is in Fontana or at Portland or Pikes Peak while Cup is in Darlington... and schedule the Nationwide races right after Cup qualifying. Is a Nationwide win worth starting at the back of the pack for a Cup race? That'll make the drivers and owners think about it a little more.

I watched a BGN race back in 92 at Charlotte. It was the race before the 600. Two Cup drivers, Dale Earnhardt and Mark Martin were in that race. Martin led a lot of the first half of the race, but blew a motor (I think) and fell out. During the halftime break (Yes the BGN series had a halftime break back then) they interviewed Jeff Gordon and he said he was disappointed that Mark fell out of the race because he really wanted a chance to race with him. I immediately understood why he said that. He wanted to race with Mark because Mark was a Cup driver.

I really doubt Gordon said that because of corporate speak. But like you said, you believe whatever you want and I'll stick to my beliefs. :D

PS. Gordon went on to win that race in the Baby Ruth car.

If that's true then quit trying to convince me of something that I don't and will never believe.

I'm not trying to convince you of anything. As you like saying so much, it's my OPINION. lol :D

As my mentor Andy says, Wank Off.

The NWS regulars need to start making it less appealing for the cup guys to dominate their series. Unfortunately, many of the NWS drivers are competing against teammates from the same organization so they have to tread lightly.

Maybe they need to be shown the attitude and determination that Earnhardt raced with and they might just grow a set.
