Probably know less about this young man's racing potential than I should. But the son of Joe Gibbs had an interesting quote in a conversation with NASCAR.com's Tim Packman. Coy was an excellent college linebacker at Stanford, another little bit of info I did not know. You can read the entire transcipt at NOL:

Ever go back into your linebacker mode of thinking when you get mad out on the track?

"Ahh, I don't know. Anybody who is in racing and football is highly competitive, so I think there's a fine balance between competitive and being a complete idiot.

Every once in awhile I go overboard. "
 
Wow, I can think of more than a few Cup drivers this quote could apply too.

I was skeptical of Coy's potential last season, that Daddy just handed him his ride, but he's put up some strong finishes this year, and has done well in his limited Busch appearances.
 
He is a solid truck driver. I hope he does well in Busch next yr.
